Matching suicidal scenes. Lee last week, Kara this week.
Starbuck - snap out of it! You really can't go back for him if you're dead!!
Oh, that's nice!!! Turn his method back on him.
Kat, Kat, Kat. You're so young still. You have noooooo idea of what's really going on.
See - you're not gonna be forgotten, Kat. Starbuck remembers you.
"'Cuz I would have died. Bastard was too good." Ah, more in common than you like, definitely.
Ah, the pretty! The pretty in that last scene!

I have never wanted to hurt a person as much as I want to hurt Cat. Except maybe T-Bag on Prison Break. I mean I seriously want to beat her head in with the Louisville. Or cut her heart out with a spork.

Oh, I was wrong, but that's ok. That celebration scene was just perfectly done. Starbuck's back!

Starbuck feels... suicidal not because she's hung up on Anders, so much, as that she promised them thaty they'd return and support them: she, like Admiral Cain, left people in an untenable lurch.... she broke her word and doesn't want to live with that fact.
</meta>
Back to the action!
Which will probably be a flashback to two minutes ago! So they can run through that "chicken" game again!
Children of Adama with deathwishes...
Huh. SHE broke.
"Do not miss him, you frakkin stim junkie!"
Starbuck got back hold of the mission: the objective is more important than who does it.
Graceful "Winner" Kat.
Ah. Toasts to all the ones Scar killed. No, to all the pilots killed.
She DOES remember everyone of them. Or a good number: she looks frustrated she can't remember more.
Is she growing up some?
Helo abuse....
Woohoo.. Jahee and his group of custard-headed pacifists are back.

"Already dead, just didn't know it." Kat's conducting training too, huh? Replacing vipers. Good question, Tigh. Are they gonna replace the pilots too. Power struggle between the two of them. So, was Kat actually doing a training or was that just a "imaginary" thing? Either of hers or Kara's? Raiders reincarnate. So, it's like the pilots watching the fights of pilots who died, but its the same one. Dying's a painful and traumatic experience - and they get to relive it over and over and over. Very very very interesting scene between Boomer and Starbuck. Ah. Kat and Starbuck doing the " whip 'em out and compare" thing. *snort* What recent show was that from? The Boomer/Starbuck scene - very heartbreaking. Kara has lost a friend who still looks and acts like her friend. Must be very hard to deal with. Very much more touching and heartbreaking than I would have thought. When Kara's all "I remember this kid" and Sharon, in tears, remembering too . . .

I totally agree. She showed such grace and class and Cat knew it. So, she didn't come out ahead of anything. Nasty piece of work she was tonight.

I'll share what I said to Onjel when she made the same point: Cat publically challenged her commanding officer at every opportunity, constantly undermined her ability to lead, and all-but sucker punched her. And for that, she became top gun and got to humiliate Kara in front of all her colleagues--neglecting to mention that Kara essentially set Scar up on a [profanity deleted] tee for her. So while I agree that Kara outclassed her at every turn, particularly at the end, Cat still came out far too much ahead for my liking. ETA: But, as you noticed, my feelings are a bit strong in this regard. So I might not be all that unbiased an observer. I just hate seeing people getting away with crappy behavior.

As I said to Sara, it's the injustice of it all that is so frustrating and enraging. Cat acted like a shit, and broke every military protocol in dealing with her CO that I can think of, and yet, she gets to be "top gun", blah, blah, blah. That is what gets to one on a visceral level. But, still, Kara totally outclassed her and showed great maturity and leadership skill in doing so.

By George, I think she's got it! Oh boy. That's how they end up together in the field. Very perceptive of Kara, don't you think? Back to the present, again. Is it or isn't it? They stopped there, AGAIN?! Dude, that was sooooo my exact reaction!

Kara is staring down Scar just like Lee stared down the black market big shot. Except Scar is a machine - but one that doesn't want to die. Huh. I think he'll it will flinch. (Well, I had to say it, you all are thinking it. ) Yup. ;D And you're right. This ep is paralleling last week's Lee ep in sooo many ways it's scary.
