As we watched Six's rebirthing scene, particularly the way D'Ana stroked Six's hair, I turned to Greg and said "Right now, thousands of slashfics are being launched." Then when it was Sharon's turn, I said "And there's a few thousand more. Not to mention the fics that'll feature all three of 'em." Oh, and when D'Ana asked Six how she was and got the reply "a little stiff," I immediately upped the number of fics to one million. ;D When you're right, you're right! Okay, time to head for bed. And who knows--maybe tomorrow I'll wake up and remember how to write reviews again...

Interesting that it was only women there at the birth - that is a very natural and 'human' thing.

Very odd. Like, did they kill all the humans just to "change places"? **nods a lot** Not to mention how interesting it is that he referred to them as people--not as machines, toasters or skin jobs. Yes! I guess he does have a frame of reference for that kind of thinking - of cylons as people - from meeting the other Sharon. The lines are really blurred between the humans and the Cylons when they actually 'know' and have contact with them.

Hang on. If GalacticaBaltar is a Cylon, that means they had Cylon models of Baltar and never would have needed Six to go in and cozy up to him in order to gain access to the defense mainframe.
And good question about how many of the Cylon models we know about for sure. I've been wondering about that for a while.
We know about No 6, Sharon, the reporter woman, the reporter man, the one Laura airlocked and the creepy babymaker doctor Starbuck killed. But that's only 6 for sure, even though I suspect Ellen Tigh. Man...

There's also the guy that Bill Adama had a fight with in the armory in the mini series.. Or was he the same as the one that Roslin had tossed out the airlock? *needs scorecard*

Snerk! on Baltar mimicking whatserhead.. Interesting, tho - when Baltar is in 6's head, there is no sex involved. That difference (because a woman would be mainly about spiritual 'love', while a man would have sex and love tied together more tightly) makes me think that the Caprica!Baltar and Galactica!6 constructs are made up primarily in their heads Although the fact that they can put the Cylons "in a box" has me thinking that maybe when Baltar and 6 were together last that some kind of thought transference occurred. As in whatever that is that they can put in a box is an entity - soul? A real physical thing. *head hurts* Don't know philotic - but he was acting as her conscience and she did want to do what she felt he would want her to do. I'd say more of a 10. I love that Lucy Lawless has been given a role here. I can't wait for her to be downloaded! Skin jobs? 'Splainy? Plastic surgery ref? Huh. All of the 'skinjobs' we've seen so far have been attractive - so the Cylons put a value on beauty - maybe only because they know that humans do. Oh - did you hear the news - Nip/Tuck is returning in the fall for its 4th season! (You all probably knew this already, huh?)

Synchronized leg crossing . . . funny and creepy at the same time. Huh. That is true, isn't it. Six is a Cylon war hero . . . And she's not completely happy with that. "Didn't upgrade the plumbing." I love this doctor guy. ;D "Everyone calls you Caprica!Six." So - the connection between Six and Baltar goes both ways . . . he can haunt her the way she's been haunting him? Or is it just that a piece of each got . . . stuck in the other? Does Galactica!Baltar know a bit of him is talking to Caprica!Six? "And you thought I could help." All is not well with Six. Yes! That's what I thought - that they each got stuck with a bit of each other during the explosion. Still can't imagine how Baltar survived and 'Caprica' didn't.

Had to share this funny bit from rewatching this morning.
There's SEXY MOM on the license plate of a car behind Anders as he is coming to after being knocked out by 3. Also a decal that says CBUCKS!
Just thought that was a funny touch. Wonder if it means anything. You don't suppose Starbuck might be pregnant?

Roslin's prepared. Not gonna let Sharon raise the baby. Well, I suppose that was to be expected. Will she and daddy get to visit the kid? Supervised visitation? "Would have been better if it killed her.""Want me to get a crossbeam and put you out of your misery?" Whoa - At first I thought you were talking about the baby there. Christlike imagery, anyone? Can't wait to see what she will be like when she comes back - I'm thinking not good. She is not sensitive to humans at all.

Interesting, tho - when Baltar is in 6's head, there is no sex involved. That difference (because a woman would be mainly about spiritual 'love', while a man would have sex and love tied together more tightly) makes me think that the Caprica!Baltar and Galactica!6 constructs are made up primarily in their heads. Not gonna quibble with that too much, as well, it appears to be a pretty accurate way of looking at things, at least from my view, as I equate sex and love. But with a spiritual element tying it all together.. but hey, I'm a freak. THIS is where I'm trying to fanwank something together that makes the headpair more than just the construct of each of their brains. I've had "copies" of my lovers in my head, after a fashion, every time I've fallen: have conversations with them, etc, and how well I know the original reflects how true-to-life my personal copy of them acts: but the Six-in-Baltar and the Baltar-in-C-Six behave more autonomously: much like Harvey in Crichton's head. Which makes me wonder if something in the sex act, or in her blood splattering on him when the windows of his villa exploded, transferred nanobots (the ONLY thing I can think of to explain why humaniform cylons are basically indistinguishable from other humans, but for a heavier element in the blood, is nanite tech that makes them cyborgs) to him, establishing a link between Baltar and C-Six: he's infected with just enough cylonanites (for convenience's sake) to establish a subconscious link with her, that has established a conscious presence in its host, Baltar's body: and perhaps that linking effect has had a backwash effect to the version of Six he fell in love with (as much as he is capable of loving anyone other than himself): perhaps C-six is seeing echoes of Baltar's psyche through the cylon linkage, and that's why he's in HER head, too. I dunno. Got nothin' other than that. But god, it's so freakin' cool!!! The way that G-Six is G-Baltar's evil little devil on his shoulder, urging him onward, to serve the unified Cylon.. and the way that C-Baltar is C-Six's angel-on-the-shoulder, urging her towards a stronger acceptance of her essential humanity: I think the best of Baltar is represented in C-Baltar. Yeah, he is the cold, analytical Baltar, but with a moral conscience. Jimminy Frakkin' Cricket. "Philotic links" are an invention of the Sci-fi author Orson Scott Card: in his "Ender's Game" universe, they are the way that instantaneous communication works: faster than lightspeed. It is based on "philos" or "love" and indicates that bonds of emotion are immune to Einsteinian physics. Sorry: shouldn't have used it without explaining it: it's precise but esoteric.. Oh, she is gonna be so pissed!!!!;D Androids(Artificial humans: human genetically, but with enhanced strength, abillities, etc.) in the movie Blade Runner are called "Skin Jobs" by the blade runners: cops whose job it is to hunt down fugitive replicants and "retire" them. Edward James Olmos played Harry Ford's character's partner Gaff in that movie. Most noted for the line "Too bad she won't live. But then again, who does?" (aside: I've got a copy of the director's cut of that movie: while I love it, I prefer the original release, where Decker talks, noir-fashion, to the audience. Need to try to find a copy of it) There are theories amongst biologists that physical beauty is an outward sign of physical and genetic health. Of course, there's also the corrollary to this, the "rare male advantage" in that someone who looks freaky also is seen as a good potential mate, due to the genetic diversity.. (correct me if I've got this wonky, Doc F, please). *Squee!s and jumps up and down, excitedly* No, I hadn't heard that one.. Thanks!! Awesome!!

While Tricia Helfer/Six is TALL, she ain't that wide, but she had Baltar kneel as the shockwave took out the windows: his face was in front of the widest part of her body: I imagine she intercepted an assload of glass that would have otherwise turned him into a stain on his rug.

When Cylons, are two of a kind! #claps# #rofl1# You remembered the theme song! You so rock!
