As we watched Six's rebirthing scene, particularly the way D'Ana stroked Six's hair, I turned to Greg and said "Right now, thousands of slashfics are being launched." Then when it was Sharon's turn, I said "And there's a few thousand more. Not to mention the fics that'll feature all three of 'em." Oh, and when D'Ana asked Six how she was and got the reply "a little stiff," I immediately upped the number of fics to one million. ;D #rofl1# No kidding! You are so right.

Interesting that it was only women there at the birth - that is a very natural and 'human' thing. A very human thing. The other Copies acting as midwives to their own births. Like watching your own clone being born. #yikes#

flashback to the mini-series, nine months ago, how appropriate.
interesting
Six really cares about Baltar. And Baltar is in Six's head just like sh
End of season 1 was 10 weeks ago
So, more than one consciousness per model?
"Defective" models?
Is this one chick (is that Lucy Lawless?) so to speak?
The cylons Re-entering Paradise?
anxiety/remorse/guilt washed away
Lucy Lawless playing up Six's achievement. Must not realize what a slimy weasel Baltar is is.
"Boxing" putting memories in cold storage.
"Skinjobs"
If pregnant Sharon dies she'll still die-die, right?
This is love.
Human sympathizers
Complications of Sleeper Agents.
Connection between six and Gaius stronger than I had thought.
If I'd want to toss a baby out the airlock, I'd suggest it. Hee. Love Roslin.
Should have been having this "what to do with the baby" conversation a *long* time ago.
Hera
Whose going to end up with the baby?
Humans don't respect life the way we do. Huh?
Proof of love
Baby's dead. Hmm... Or replaced? Yep. Could be very interesting.
Child as a messianic figure?
Question of conscience. Difference between humans and cylons? Or is it?
Celebrities in a culture based on unity. Humanity as unique individuals- other difference?
Political dissenters
Will the humans be willing to make peace, after all that's happened?

Hang on. If GalacticaBaltar is a Cylon, that means they had Cylon models of Baltar and never would have needed Six to go in and cozy up to him in order to gain access to the defense mainframe. And good question about how many of the Cylon models we know about for sure. I've been wondering about that for a while. We know about No 6, Sharon, the reporter woman, the reporter man, the one Laura airlocked and the creepy babymaker doctor Starbuck killed. But that's only 6 for sure, even though I suspect Ellen Tigh. Man... That was why Baltar-as-a-cylon doesn't work for me, either. There's also the guy that Bill Adama had a fight with in the armory in the mini series.. Or was he the same as the one that Roslin had tossed out the airlock? *needs scorecard* **nods** And it's why, if he is some kind of construct, I wonder if he was constructed by himself. I mean, he was instrumental in the science behind some of the creation of the Cylons, so . . . Of course, I am also completely insane. ;D

Snerk! on Baltar mimicking whatserhead.. Interesting, tho - when Baltar is in 6's head, there is no sex involved. That difference (because a woman would be mainly about spiritual 'love', while a man would have sex and love tied together more tightly) makes me think that the Caprica!Baltar and Galactica!6 constructs are made up primarily in their heads Although the fact that they can put the Cylons "in a box" has me thinking that maybe when Baltar and 6 were together last that some kind of thought transference occurred. As in whatever that is that they can put in a box is an entity - soul? A real physical thing. *head hurts* Don't know philotic - but he was acting as her conscience and she did want to do what she felt he would want her to do. I'd say more of a 10. I love that Lucy Lawless has been given a role here. I can't wait for her to be downloaded! Skin jobs? 'Splainy? Plastic surgery ref? Huh. All of the 'skinjobs' we've seen so far have been attractive - so the Cylons put a value on beauty - maybe only because they know that humans do. Oh - did you hear the news - Nip/Tuck is returning in the fall for its 4th season! (You all probably knew this already, huh?) **head explodes from all the BSG possibitlities** **does the happy happy Nip/Tuck dance**

'Cuz they're Cylon models, identical models and you'll find, They love alike, they angst alike, sometimes they even kill alike, You can lose your mind . . . When Cylons, are two of a kind! You remembered the theme song! You so rock! You do not know the extent of my dorkiness. One of my former roommates and I actually sang our own version and recorded it as our answering machine message. ;D

And Baltar is in Six's head just like sh End of season 1 was 10 weeks ago So, more than one consciousness per model? Yes! That is such an important point. Because that means they start building different personalities, creating versions that differ from each other more and more as they accumulate different experiences. They'll never really be a true "copy" from the moment they open their eyes. The Six that was blown up on Caprica is very different from the Six that was held prisoner on the Pegasus. I think so, because they blew up the ship/factory thingee in space that was their rebirthing place, right? And they are too far away from any other resurrection ship, I think? **nods** Interesting, eh? Good questions.

Also, Conscience a question of circumstance? Never thought that I would feel sympathetic towards regular Six. Not beaten and raped Six, but the regular one. Huh. She played her part well. Six did a lot better job dealing with Baltar in her head than Baltar did with Six. Don't think Baltar is a Cylon. To uniquely brilliant to be programmed. I'm taking the being in each other's head thing as a sign of the deep attachment they had to each other. Or maybe it's just a manifestation of how each views the other and is just an externaization of the thought process. What's not clear to me is how everyone can withstand the radioactive fallout from the nukes. Did I miss some sort of "in this 'verse people have some sort of protection against radiation" revelation? Also, how do the Cylons tell each other apart? Aside from being a particular model, that is.

Also, I wonder what other consciousness-es have been boxed. Since they have a term for it, it had to have happened before.
Has anybody else ever read Anna to the Infinite Power. It's a okay youth fiction book about a girl who discovers that she's part of a cloning experiment. She and the other clones end up growing apart as a result of different experiences. Nature vs Nature debate. We're seeing that here a bit.

It's a okay youth fiction book about a girl who discovers that she's part of a cloning experiment. She and the other clones end up growing apart as a result of different experiences. Nature vs Nature debate. We're seeing that here a bit. Right now, most of the cylons are part of a 'collective' - with the same memories. As they branch out - die - come back, etc., they will all still look the same, but we're seeing now that their experiences change them - and like Caprica said - can't remember exact words - the individual isn't welcome in a society priding itself on unity. Something like that. No wonder they want to box up the ones that can't be reassimilated. Although, because they are now 'heroes', the rest of the Cylon collective will probably be disturbed by their 'boxing'. Who (or what) would want to go be a hero if they're going to end up in a box?
