Hello again everybody... I posted only one or twice on your threads, but I'm trying to follow them. Only trying, though, because each time I try to read the hundreds or so last posts to have an idea of what's going on before posting myself, I find a hundreds other posts by the time I'm raising my heard. I wanted to write some comments on the Angel season finale, so I began to read the SS 25 thread and all your wonderful posts about "Home". I haven't got to half of it, though, that I notice you already are in the middle of thread 27. I'm never going to make it. So: - Are the Soulful Spike Society spoiler free? I think they are, but I'd rather check. - Is it too late to post some speculations or questions about the Angel finale? Will all you guys ignore me, or spite me? - David Creenshaw, you have a fan. (Or one more fan). Each time I read one of your post, I agree completely. Or admire what you have written. (I apologize for any grammar or spelling mistake. English is not my first language.) //Ah, yes, Maggie Smith, another favorite British actress. That's what we need, scenes in England! I wonder if Diana Rigg is still interested in working?//
I still think Judi Densch is my top choice, but Maggie Smith is no slouch. Maybe they could form the whole coven, not just one role -- Judi, Maggie, Diana ....

OK, I was just avoiding my work (per the course of the day) when I found this at eonline.com: www.eonline.com/Features/Features/Buffy2003/index.htmlIt's a retrospective of Buffy - it's got a timeline, interviews with JM (whoo-hoo!), MT, ASH, AH, NB, and JW. For those who want to remain spoiler-free, I would avoid AH's, NB's, and JW's - there is just a little bit (not much) and I don't know how much of it is true or false. Just read those interviews after May 20th. All the other interviews are fair game. They have video clips as well (haven't checked those out yet). Just thought I would post this for anyone interested. - Lee Hollins

Or admire what you have written.// WELCOME ANNE!!! I am so glad you are posting - come play anytime! We pretty much post 24 hours a day! Now to answer your questions: 1. Yes, we are spoiler free. We speculate rampantly but no actual spoilers. We do discuss the episode right after it airs but we title our posts so that people in other time zones who haven't seen the episode yet won't be spoiled. (EX: tonight there will be posts titled: "New episode of Buffy dicussion - SPOILERS", etc.). All we ask is that if you are posting about a new episode that everyone hasn't seen yet, please title your posts accordingly so that everyone knows that there might be spoilers in your post. 2. Post away about Angel's season finale! I know I enjoy discussing Angel's episodes a week or so later so that I have had a chance to digest everything. As you can tell, we do post a lot and sometimes, unfortunately, posts do get ignored. IF that happens, just re-post your discussion about Angel again with a title like "READ ME!! READ ME!!! READ ME!!!" - hey, it'll work! :-) 3. David has a fan?! What is this earth coming to? Again, welcome Anne. So glad you are de-lurking! -Lee Hollins

Becky said: I agree that I sort of liked Kennedy at first. But we don't know how much slayer training she actually had. The two people who I think would have been better at training the SITs (besides Buffy herself) would be Xander or Amanda. Think about it: Xander still retains his military memories from "Halloween" but I admit he's been busy with the sisyphean task of constantly rebuilding Casa Summers. That's why I'd go with Amanda. Of all of the SITs, she's most battle-tested. And she's actually not annoying.
Mary replies: Or maybe, um, GILES! That is his job, after all.

Anne, regarding spoilers it is up to the individual, but yes, THE BOARD IS SPOILER FREE, thanks for asking and please do be careful. (You will find that immediately after an episode is aired we try to mark the discussion posts so west-coast or Canadian viewers can avoid them. Kerrie lives in Australia is apparently only on ep 13, but she reads the wildfeeds so she can join in the discussions.) Question 2: It is never too late to discuss anything. As to trying to catch up (and keep up). It can be a problem. Sometimes all you can do is try to glance over the most recent posts to pick up the thread of what is being discussed. If you happen to repeat a comment or opinion we don't make a big deal of it. Welcome, welcome. Get your RL in order because after tonight's ep it will be a free-for-all. Since when is Amanda battle-tested? Just cause she lives on the Hellmouth and is a bully? Okay, that sounded snarky and it wasn't meant to be. I was thinking again about that artcle on Salon.com and I have to admit I, too, wish there had been a "Spike admitting he got his soul for selfish reasons" scene. But that's because I think he did. And I guess Joss wanted it to be different...

I just saw "Enemies" last night on FX for the first time. I had heard that Angel faked being Angelus to trap Faith in an episode, so I wasn't surprised about that, but I do have a few questions: -Did Angel sleep with Faith? I wasn't sure. -When did Buffy/Giles figure it out? When did they plan the charade? Anyone know?

I would have no chance of posting spoilers anyway... I live in France (I am french), so anything I get I get much later than you guys. Officially, in France, we are still waiting for the seven season of Buffy and the fourth season of Angel. As I am a total, total fan, and because my americans friends were constantly raving about the two new seasons, I didn't resist temptation and found a way to watch everything. Which means I "swallowed" the seven season of Buffy in three days - from the first episode to "First date", then I followed the normal schedule. And I just saw the Angel season too. One of the reason I could not wait is because as much as I love watching those shows, I love even more discussing about them. And waiting one year meant the discussion would have been over a long time ago when I arrived in the forums... also, it is great to share the finale anticipation with other fans. To wait together as the clock is ticking, so to speak... Ok, now I'm preparing my rambles about Angel...

I just read the article -- Nick's comments aren't spoilers, they're sarcasm, completely meant to be funny. Joss' comments are his usual cryptic stuff -- sort of the stuff like, they ask if Buffy will have a happy ending, and his response is, "You assume she survives. I just love killing people." I really wouldn't take his comments as being serious spoilers, either. Alyson is the only one who really leaks a spoiler, and even then, it's one of those really minor pieces of information that only the true purest should fear reading. Anyhow, the interviews are all great, and the timeline is one of the better ones I've seen. well worth the perusing.

Lee, why does it surprise you I have a fan? Summers in Maryland can get mighty hot, and a so I have several fans. They help take the strain off my air conditioner.

I ADORE Judy Dench. Did anyone see her in "Mrs. Brown," when she played Queen Victoria? That deserved an Academy Award. I watch "As Time Goes By" regularly, and she handles comedy just as well. I absolutely agree that 'Angel' needs an older cast member, male or female. Another possibility in the "taking no crap" category would be Kathy Bates. another I'd recommend would be Anne Bancroft, who, unfortuneately, has done very little TV. What was the name of the actress on the last season of 'Farscape?' She would be a good choice. Of course, if Joss wants an impressive, older "woman of substance" to boss around the two souled vampires but still wants to save money, he could just hire me.
