Looking forward to reading the big long post. Don't worry about it being perfect. God knows mine aren't, and yet I remain. :-)

//I said this over on Part 28 (and about 8 other posts before I realized we'd moved) - Your post was beautifullly expressed and I loved it. //
I'm glad you and everyone else seemed to like it. I was only expressing my understanding of what it is Joss has been trying to say with Buffy lo these six and a half years (plus one movie).

I wrote back in Part 28 (post #369 I think)
//Is Buffy to be den mother to any tht survive or is she intended to become the next Hidden One?"//
and Rob writes
//We know that guardians watch the Watchers. What else do they do? Is it possible that they CHOOSE Slayers out of the available pool of candidates?
With the death of the guardian at the hands of Caleb, it is feasible to me that Buffy is destined to assume that role. The writers have forever maintained that the Slayer line runs through Faith. If she were to die, another Slayer might have to be chosen//
I wonder if we are on to something here? Rob we know great minds think alike mayhaps we have chanced onto something?
If so then I also want to channel to the PTB (writers of the finale) Let Buffy/Xander/WillowFaith/Dawnie/Andrew/Anya/Giles and assorted mini slayers survive and (complements of Betsy) go to France.

Patti, I missed an 25 page thread that I won't get to until Sat. Do you have a post number or date I can go find?
You'd think almost dying would produce a viable ephiphany. But I already have a box full in the back closet that I'm saving for a rainy day. You think I'd realize somebody was trying to get my attention. Maybe its time to check into that that Tibetan Monastery and start paying back all that good karma I've used up.

It's like the computer has this weird hold over me... Must keep reading posts...
Oh well, Paul gets home tomorrow night, so I'll be back to daytime only again (no, he wouldn't care, but I feel silly reading and posting in front of him). He went to Little Rock Arkansas, to watch paint dry (I just love saying that, my husband watches paint dry for a living).
Good night, all, again (This time for sure!)

David said: 'You do of course realize I'll burn in hell for having even suggested such. Me and the guy who started making all the WWBD jewelry will be sharing a room right off the burning embers pit.'
Which I'll be keeping stoked with embers, so maybe we can talk Buffy while we burn?

I cannot for the life of me remember where or when I was part of a discussion about this recently -- but while it's true, Dave, that the Italians in NY do find the good "Italian" restaurants, you'd be surprised at where you won't find really great Italian restaurants -- and that's in Little Italy in Manhattan. Most of what's down there is tourist-driven, serving lots of pasta drowning in tomato sauce and various "parmigiano" dishes (which are almost invariably smothered in mozzarella, not parmesano).
Back in the hey-day of Little Italy in lower Manhattan, it was taken as a reflection on "Mamma's" cooking if a family member wanted to "eat out." It just wasn't done. If there was a celebratory meal to be had, it was not done in a restaurant -- it was done at home. That's why (combined with a dwindling population) you won't find alta cucina downtown on Mulberry Street. Obviously, you'll find it elsewhere in Manhattan, and I do have my favorites. (Happy to share if anyone plans a trip to NYC.)
Okay, lurked enough tonight. Night all! (Please don't post 1000 pages in the next two days -- I may not be back til Saturday night!)

Patti said, "Have you SEEN Keanu Reeves? Or Jet Li? Or Chow Yon Fat? (I got his name wrong but we all know who I mean) " And Russell Wong, late of "Black Sash" who is half Chinese and half Dutch (if I remember correctly.) And Dean Cain (the Superman series) who is one-fourth Japanese. Oh, do I notice that type much?

First...... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I swear I only went to see the Matrix a few hours ago and now I'm 30 pages behind and we're on a new Part. I need the power to stop time so I can catch up. So in my quest to catch up, I have been mostly skimming posts. My eyes are tired and I only caught the last half of Patti's #513 on the last part. It said and I quote, "Shall I use the thingy you showed me last night to get it to you?" *ahem* Sleepy mind, nasty thoughts. I had to reread to realize it was a perfectly innocent post . Now why I'm really writing... Patti - I posted this on the other part before I realized you guys had moved on. No sweat on the Part 20. No one else had grabbed it yet. Since you were sweet enough to take both Parts 20 and 21 (and I know those each have SEVERAL posts), I'll take care of 15. Thanks
