Radio? Although pitchers' duels are harder to listen to than other games. We need some offense. Pitching duel? 6flippersmacking-1? House is too small for TV and radio on at once, and if I do the online feed it slows down the computer too much, so I'm just checking during commercials. Julia, I blame myself, having lost my Ms hat earlier today

You could blame me for trying to pay attention to the game and unpack the radiation area (which is NOT actually radioactive, as a rule) at the same time.

Julia, at least things had not gotten any worse as of the last commercial break

Ah. Well. Don't look now, then. Sigh. This is NOT a good way to start the season. Uh, nowhere to go but up? And Dev, even though it's a hard thing to be today, I am a Mariner's fan, back to the day that Danny Kaye threw out the first pitch. Was a Pilots fan, too, for the one year that was possible, back before Rachael was born, let alone you. Julia, who vaguely remembers the last World Series for the Brooklyn Dodgers, but that was because my babysitter was a Dodgers fan

Ok so Yorick is a Bosox fan. Can the rest of you refresh my memory? Dev Me, I'm a Mariners fan, mostly because I never lived in a baseball town before Seattle, and once you've been there, you can't help but fall in love with that team. Trying to develop love for the Giants, but it's so hard when their bleacher seats cost $21.

Ok so Yorick is a Bosox fan. Can the rest of you refresh my memory? Dev Mets fan here. Hard-core, deep-in-the-bone, National League fan.
And since I know I missed it -- how exactly is it that you're a Cubs fan? (Given your location, and baseball doesn't exactly have the international appeal (well, unless you're in Japan or elsewhere in the Americas) that soccer/football or basketball has.)

Ok so Yorick is a Bosox fan. Can the rest of you refresh my memory? Dev Cardinals in the National League although I do root for the Cubbies, too (unless they're playing the Cards). The Royals are my home-town team in the American League but I still have a soft spot for Boston. No offense to our New York S'cubies but I've hated the Mets since '86 and I can't stand the Yankees (even though Don Mattingly was a nice guy when I met him).

"Can't Stand the Yankees" does seem to be the US norm outside the Bronx. Julia, oh, but Donny Baseball was fun to watch

Laura, I have been watching for 2 years or so. We have a programme called Late Night Baseball over here and it's well good. It rounds up the weeks games and shows two live games a week (one on a wednesday and one on a sunday). The rest I catch off the MLB tv. Not sure why but I am a huge baseball fan. Dev

Dev's actually here! Right now! Hi, Dev!
My team stunk it up yesterday, as you saw, and then frickin' Oakland also won. . .I know, way too early for any statistical meaning yet, but yet another reason not to want to go to work today.
I hope the new OS upgrade here helps my Internet streaming issues.
