Okay, I know nothing except: Werewolf. That, and that the ep starts in eight minutes and no one's made a thread yet.

Ninja monks? In Scottland? WTF? Heeee! Chasing this half naked wee child. ;D Ooooh, Queen Victoria! For some odd reason, I had thought that the Doctor had met her before . . . Guess not.

Torchwood. Man, they are working very hard to pave the way for that spinoff, aren't they?

Okay, at the rate they're going I'm not going to be able to take the dog out tonight--it's a full moon here as well.

Heee! I like Rose's attempts to get her to say "we are not amused". ;D And you can tell the Queen knows, but just won't do it. Interesting how QV is so interested in the wolf stories. But I seem to recall that the real one did get very interested in spirituality after Albert died. Very touching scene, when she remembers him. Very real feeling. The empire of the wolf. Huh. Like those novels where Victorian England is all magic and vamps. Or like the AU world they visit in fanfic, the Victorian realm with a vamp QV. Ah. The wolf sees that Rose has some wolf experience . . . . interesting. Bad wolf, bad! ;D ;D

Just looked it up, and indeed one of the oldest uses of mistletoe is as a ward against werewolves. Huh. Learn something new every day.

And I vaguely remember something more about mistletoe having some other mystical thing. Like . . . it was supposedly a weapon against . . . you made a weapon out of it or . . . Dang. Can't remember.

Well how about that. The actress who played Queen Victoria, Pauline Collins, is the third actor to appear on both incarnations of Doctor Who.
