Part I
So everybody else did abandon Kate and Jack. Oh, I guess they didn't they're just not interested in Daniel?
Locke yet again predicts the weather.
Hurley's looking after Vincent.
Locke's got to go back to the cabin. It's like he's got a earpiece in his ear.
Mystery of the Cabin. Locke's not too happy that Hurley knows about it.
Sayid and Juliet about the threat of the Boat People.
Gas mask. and biohazard bags. And the gun.
Parallels between Locke's group questioning him and Jack and Kate questioning Dan.
What is the Boat People's primary objective?
Walt the Giant. LOL.
Yay, for Sawyer questioning Locke.
Shot clean through. Through where his kidney used to be. How's that for coincidence?
We're back at where Desmond killed Kelvin.
Whoa. I was not expecting that guy to still be alive. Asian guy looks familiar.
Dude, just say that you didn't kill her and where she is. Why all the suspense?

Part II
Inglewood, CA. This guy. So flashbacks from various Boat People.
Miles Stroum.
Are we supposed to recognize this woman or who she's connected to? Cause I'm drawing a blank.
A vacuum cleaner? He's a psychic ghosthunter.
grandson was a drug dealer. He's at peace now? You didn't do anything!
Dan says the Losties are Good People.
"Tell my sister I love her" was a code. I suspect that Naomi does secretly have a sister and that was a bit of doublespeak.
Finally Kate clears up the confusion.
Indeed, Miles would know what happened to Naomi.
The light scatters strangely around here. Does that mean something or is that just confused ramblings?
We should just let this thing play out. Well, considering what we see in the flashforwards, that may not be a good idea. Then again, we don't see what would happen if you don't make the decisions that you do, so maybe doing what you do is for the best. Maybe it would be a lot worse. Or not. Who knows?
How did Jack manage to coordinate that with Sayid et al?

Part III
Medecine, Tunisia
This is Charlotte, I presume.
Man wants to know if they are lost.
Dinosaur dig? Polar Bears!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excavating with a ginormous pick axe. Geez, no wonder the guy's pissed.
DHARMA symbol. DHARMA in Tunisia. God knows how many years ago.
And Charlotte runs into Locke's group. This doesn't bode well.
Ah, Juliet took the initiative to follow Jack. And Jack signaled Kate with his eyes. (hee!) Why did that signal mean something when the one in the season 2 finale didn't?
Miles doesn't want to reveal his last name.
Dan is a physicist. Naturally. but he's interdisciplinary.
Miles collects soil samples. With his vacuum cleaner? ;D
Sayid plays with the satellite phone. Hee.
Dude, clearly they took the transponder off her. Oh, it's on Vincent. Hee. Vincent knew to run to Jack's group?

Part IV
Eleuthra, Bahamas
What does this guy know about the crash? Ah, he can tell that the wreckage a fake.
He was supposed to be on the plane!
He's not wearing parachute gear.
Cowbell!
Wait, there's been a cow with a cowbell wandering around the island all this time?
Taller Ghost Walt.
Ben takes advantage of the moment.
And she's not dead. Of course. Bullet proof vests. Again suspicious.
Now, Locke's pissed at Ben.
This guy is Frank Lopitas. He was the pilot.
And the helicopter is intact. Can't read the writing though.

Coda
Naomi is leading the team.
Abbadon again!
Abbadon selected the other members and sanctions the mission.
Confirms that they're not actually there to rescue anybody. So, what is the purpose of the mission?
Why does Naomi think that she'll run into the Losties? Especially if the island is nowhere near the "wreckage site?"
Abbadon being very emphatic about their being no survivors.
Of course, now everything's been derailed because Naomi's dead. And whatever she knows died with her.
Quick, take the helicopter and do a thorough survey of the island!
Regina. Hmm. Methinks there's more going on than George not just being able to come to the phone right now.
Argument about what to do with Naomi's body.
Frank knows that Juliet wasn't on the plane. Oh, he studied the manifest.
She's a native. Well, not exactly.
They're there specifically for Ben. He's the real Kurtz.
About whether to kill Ben.
Ben has answers. Well, yeah, but they're not worth anything unless you share.
Ben doesn't know about the monster. Interesting.
Oh, Charlotte. Oops.
Ben has a file on her as well. And the rest of the team. And he has a man on their boat. Does he mean one of the guys from the helicopter or George? Or some one else?
The Boat People are a threat because they are after him. Well, that makes them a threat, yes, but only to you, Ben. Unless you make a really compelling argument as to why you are essential to everyone else.
And now this story is folding back on itself. I can't wrap my brain around it.

Wow, this really felt more like a season premiere to me. Introduction of new characters, and widening the scope of the story, fitting the pattern of all the other previous premieres. I guess they couldn't have opened with this, though.

Guess: Man on their boat = Michael. Huh. If not, I'll bet that Ben has his thumb on him somehow.

So, they were all declared dead just 'cuz they couldn't salvage anything from the plane? Ooooh, ghost chaser guy! Ghost buster! A real ghost sensing guy, but one that steals the money. Hmmmmm. Oh, Matthew! So clever! It was code! And he wants to go to her body so he can read what happened using his spooky ghost reading power thing. Sawyer is right, Benry's just messing with your head. But I'd still like to see Karl smack him around. If we can't see Rousseau do it, someone has to. Yoda thinks James is brave and daring and handsome. It's practically a proposal. Aaaaaand here comes the smack down. And I tend to think Sawyer is more right than Locke on this one. About Benry already having a plan to get them all as opposed to being helpless and all. Is it just me, or is there something not quite all there about Dan? Jack wink! What's the plan, Jack the man? Sayid!! Woot!! Oh, Jack, I'm loving you here. ;D "I dunno? How stupid are you?" I think I kinda like this twist of the Losties being the jades old timers messing with the newbie island visitors. Yeah, they're sort of acting like The Others do, and the newbies are just as confused as the Losties were/are.

I do not like it so much that we are getting another batch o' new characters. At this point, I'm ready for anything. More characters? Why not! Mimes creating balloon animals while juggling polar bears? Why not! Giant Walt breeding a whole new island population of mutant dog wrangers? Why not! Bring it on, baby! Ghosts! Scientists! Perky swimmers! I'm like it too. Fits with the structure of the series. A constantly expanding universe. Like you can't fully understand the earth unless you understand the solar system, and the galaxy, and the universe, etc.

So, did anyone notice that the full name of our new female character is Charlotte Staples Lewis? In other words, the exact same initials (and middle name, actually) as C. S. Lewis. Ooh, nice.

Seems to me like Ben really sabotaged himself. If he had left the Losties alone, he could have maintained a low profile and the Boat People would have never found him. If he hadn't done all kinds of shit to the Losties, they probably would have been willing to hide or help him escape from the Boat People. And it's not like he didn't know that they were coming (or could come if the circumstances were right).

Oh, and I say that Rousseau takes Ben back to her torture chamber and Sayid and Hurley lead their group to someplace safe and Locke can go off and play with Jacob.

Oh, and I'm thinking that the team was chosen because they know too much. the classic put the toublemakers in charge of things so that they'll be supportive of the mission rather than be a liability.

Whoa. Check out this most interesting little tidbit I read about on Lostpedia. Check out this shot of the wall before Miles goes upstairs to the dead boy's room: And now that same wall when he returns downstairs afterwards: Yup, that's right: the photo frames are different after Miles does his work. Now, if just one had changed I'd chalk it up as some weird continuity error. But since it appears they're all different, and given how the camera did focus on the wall both before and afterward, I'm thinking the mass switch must be intentional. Why, I have no freakin' clue.

That is so freakin' weird! I thought that the focus on the pictures was because the kid is some one we've seen before, but even with the screen captures, I still don't recognize him.
