My post from LJ:
Oh Heroes. Why does the line from Aliens after Sigourney Weaver has just driven all badass into the complex in the Marine vehicle, knocking down walls and rescuing Hicks spring into mind? Hudson looks online and says the Sarge and Dietrich are alive. Their signs are low but they're alive. And the Amazon gal comes over and says then we go back and get them. And Ripley calmly says you can't help them. Right now they're being cocooned like the others. Mohinder, did ya inject yourself with Alien blood?
I'm still confused. And will continue to be confused. This show is confusing. So on the creeptastic meter:
1. Puppet guy. Ew, ew, ew. Scary serial killer ew.
2. Is that old Nathan or Nathan's dad? The dead only really not dead Arthur Petrelli? And he's mentalist guy like Parkman?
3. Speaking of which, isn't that Parkman's Dad doing the mental mojo with Daphne? Creepy.
4. Mohinder is seriously whackaloon. What he's grabbing people and cocooning them - why? Is he taking over Sylar's brain eating? (though bonus points for cocooning Maya)
Sad meter:
1. I liked Vortex guy. What a great job the actor did. And Claire, what a waste of space you were. You couldn't help him more than just standing there all angsty? I seriously am tired of angsty Claire.
2. Aw, Nathan lost his belief in Angels now that Mommy dearest has revealed where his power came from.
3. Ando dying only I call fake out. There's no way he's really dead or will stay dead. That has to have been some sort of plan.
Hell yea meter:
1. Ando saying that he and Hiro are the worse heroes ever. Amen to that brother. I am very tired of Hiro and his "oops, I messed up again" storyline. After last season and now this, Hiro has gone from most charming and adorable hero in the pilot to oh no, do we have to watch his storyline.
2. Sylar saying redemption takes time.
So overall another mess of an episode with moments of goodness. That's pretty much where Heroes lives for me now. I like some things, dislike some things and think they have a wildly overly complicated plotline with too many characters and too much disjointedness.
Pretty much eetah. This was better than last week's episode but I'm still losing hope that the show is going to be what I thought it was going to be when I started watching it. I'm still going to watch till the bitter end cause I like to finish what I start, but I'm not really emotionally engaged anymore.
