That was my first reaction. Then I thought...Gitmo, Bagram, Rendition... There are probably new things to say on this topic, or at the very least, old things that are worth repeating. True, but do you really think AMC is going to say them? They're probably just planning a watered-down carbon copy. I'll stay with the fond memories of the original. Besides, I always had a wicked crush on Patrick McGoohan.

"Miss Sylvester. If you'd like me to return to the musical, changes need to be made!" "Well, Rachel, I couldn't agree with you more. You know, when I heard Sandy wanted to write himself into a scene as Queen Cleopatra, I was aroused, then furious. I hearby grant you complete artistic control. Congratulations, kiddo! (evil laugh) You now have everything you could possibly want. Isn't it a great feeling?" ![](http://www.soulfulspike.com/staff/smileys/laughs/rofl1.gif) Sometimes the things this show does, and especially the things they have Sue say, just kill me! Yes. There was nothing I could do or say that would make that more unbelievably amazing than it was. The show had already done it all.

He was one of my favorite actors when I was growing up. But I also think AMC has a commitment to quality and to big time risk taking with its original series (Mad Men, Breaking Bad) and I think they just might do a good job.

Glee: Kristin Chenowith as a dissolute drunk breaks my brain.
Julia, but that's why they call it acting.

OK. Application off to Salford! That just leaves one more application, two articles and an abstract to write.
Wasn't this supposed to be my break?

Bleargh. Husband was up at 12:30 in the AM, coughing and coughing... I dosed him up, he slept propped up on the couch the rest of the night, what there was of it.
The paper was not here yet, last I looked. We're going into a two-day (at least) spell of hot dry red flag fire warning Santa Anas dust everywhere allergies galore weather.
However, it's the Younger Daughter's birthday, Happy 17th Birthday Katherine!

Apparently everyone in the UK had to retune their digital TV boxes yesterday because... the TV gods wanted to make things difficult? I don't know. ANYway, I did that, retuned the TV and the recorder box, and reselected my favourite channels.
What I only just realised is that also meant all my recorder box settings vanished. Every timer recording I had set.
Luckily I checked in time to set it for the daily Star Trek marathon. And now it's recording, so I can't set it for more things until it is done.
I guess this is a good filter. If I can't remember I was recording it, I probably didn't need to.
Also there were some things I was planning on giving up on anyway.
Chuck and Moonlight can stay gone. Merlin and the Sarah Jane Adventures I will set it for again. This week's films... I really can't be bothered to rediscover.
Primeval is sort of borderline. I mean, I can't figure out why people watch, but it's on every night of the week lately so it wouldn't take long to watch it all and see if it remains baffling. ... people chase or are chased by dinosaurs. Except they quickly got bored of actual real dinosaurs and started inventing animals from the future. And now they're on a 'egyptian myths are really out of time animals' thing. And the non-science of it kind of breaks my brain. It's not like they've got any plot to go with it. Or characters. Or... anything. Plus I got really bored when the third episode that week had a black guy turn up before the opening credits and get ate. It's like a level of hostility worse than having no black characters in the first place. There was a black woman, but she turned out to be a backstabbing spy. Other than that? Very very white. I can't un notice. I'd complain about female characters being damsels in distress, but since the whole chasing-and-chased-by thing is fairly evenly distributed and the ongoing lack of character for almost all characters is sadly just as uniform it probably doesn't count as sexism. Also there's the thing where they make Torchwood look competent. So it's bland, boring, and annoying. ... why have I watched two seasons? ... because it took a couple of weeks and I was watching them mostly at double or triple speed anyway.
I think I won't be recording that then.
I either need to discover some new TV or go back to the DVD collection.

Evil, in a sad, gleeful way. Oh...I love this song. Heart. Glee is so much fun! The lovely, sad, evil, drunken glee! ;D And don't she and Will just look so happy singing together?!Yes, happy. One might say 'gleeful'. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Love Glee. Cougartown was a hoot. I am in love with all the minor characters, and Courtney Cox makes a good foil for them all. It's at times off the wall kooky but it also has a few moments of seriousness sprinkled in. I can relate to a lot of it because I have a friend going through the same phase in her life who is acting in much the same way. It's just a fun show!

If it hadn't been for the numbering of everyone and taking away their names I think I wouldn't have minded living there.

Carina Pillar and Jets Credit: NASA, ESA, and the Hubble SM4 ERO TeamExplanation:[/b] This cosmic pillar of gas and dust is nearly 2 light-years wide. The structure lies within one of our galaxy's largest star forming regions, the Carina Nebula, shining in southern skies at a distance of about 7,500 light-years. The pillar's convoluted outlines are shaped by the winds and radiation of Carina's young, hot, massive stars. But the interior of the cosmic pillar itself is home to stars in the process of formation. In fact, placing your cursor over this visible light image will reveal a penetrating near-infrared view of pillar - now dominated by two, narrow, energetic jets blasting outward from a still hidden infant star. Both visible light and near-infrared images were made using the Hubble Space Telescope's newly installed Wide Field Camera 3.
