Yeah; I'm just cranky because I really don't MIND doing 90% of the baby-related stuff in the A.M., but I'd like for her frickin' father to at least appear to be trying to help. Like being out of bed before we leave the house, for example. It'd be nice if he could, say, play with her while I'm getting myself dressed so that she isn't confined to her swing for the duration. Or maybe (gasp!) he could get her dressed and ready to go while I get ME dressed. Also, I've been sick for a week, with your standard "baby now goes to day care" cold, and he knows it, and HE isn't ill - at least not overtly. I have little sympathy for "I'm very tired" at 7:30 when I've been up since 5:30, so tired I actually want to cry. Somehow, mothers never think it's okay to just stay in bed till 8:00 because someone else will give the baby her meds, change her, dress her, and feed her. Also, *I* didn't get a shower (for that matter, TMI, I didn't get to PEE until I got to work), but the first thing he did upon getting up at 7:35 was take a shower, so that he saw his daughter for all of five minutes before we left the house. It's not every day. But it's not okay, and he's a grownup. He should KNOW it's not okay. Just let me know if you need to employ a little Louisville therapy. I'll bring the clue by four. Does he think there is some magic fairy that does all that stuff? Really, he needs to get his ass up and help. Don't give him an option. Just wake him up, hand him the baby and say "I'm going to do <insert activity here>, so it is your *turn* for baby duty".

They made me record the messages for our new phone system. So apparently I am now the voice of the museum. Yay me.

The Golden Snowball! ;D goldensnowball.com/2009/01/rochester-pushes-buffalo-down-snow-hill.htmlAnd more responses to the last 5 page later, if you haven't closed the part by then. Shoveled driveway from 9-10; errands out from 10-3. Now have deal with the debris of the errands (groceries, mail, books, etc). Looks like driveway would have melted anyway, but couldn't know that and exercise always good. Tonight it's VU/UT: The MEN. We don't have tickets to men's games, but Tom will be there. But we'll watch on ESPN.

My voice is what's on our voicemail/answering message at work. I think anyone who has to listen to it should feel honored and more than a little turned on. I have an awesome phone voice. *buffs nails*

RSG: Do you mind if I scare Ewoks with your toxic waste barrel?
Me: Be my guest. In fact, use it to run over the little bastards if you want.

I said "sure, but do you have a male friend who might want to go?" And he found someone to go with him. I would have been all over tickets to VU/UT if: 1. it weren't already being shown on TV. 2. I hadn't been out all day and it's a 6 pm game with high traffic so I'd have to leave, well, NOW. 3. I hadn't been out last night and plan to be out tomorrow night. So happy he's going and I'll putter around here will watching or listening.

Photos of my first altered tin project. The other one is going to be a present for my mom, and will have a photo of the Daughters in. Since I haven't got a current photo of the spawn, it'll be a while. Besides, I have that Quilted Totem banner class coming up this week, and I just put the basecoats on my papier-mache star wands so I can play with them tomorrow. Lumiere silver for mine and super copper for Daria's. Lessee, also today I picked up the cats' fish oil refill, returned a book to the library and picked up another (I'll be so glad when our library reopens), and found a mermaid quote to write on the message in the little bottle that lives in the mermaid shrine. I'm sure there are other usefuls I did, but I can't think of them right now.
