Wow. You'd think they'd announced a Dean/Cas wedding coming up with all this celebration! I don't know why, but while to me a smiley is just cute, a smiley with a bow on the back of it? Is freakin' adorable!

Yup. Smith has been burning up the Twitter with his rants. I don't blame him in the least. The company behaved abyssmally. I'm just glad they were stupid enough to do it to someone with enough public recognition to embarrass them back.

This morning's Buffy ep on MTV was the one where Willow gets captured by the mayor and they have to exchange the box of Gavrock (full of replicator* bugs).
So much happens after the resolution of the primary story:
Willow pulls out the pages of the Book of Ascension that she stole. Willow and Buffy have their little talk under the tree about Willow attending UC-Sunnydale -- about how the fight against evil is important and she wants in. Fantastic scene. Cordelia in the dress shop (btw -- her boss in the dress shop = the woman who plays the govt/military lady who sends Chuck on his missions.) Buffy and Angel hang in the cemetary and try to convince themselves that what the mayor said doesn't apply to them.
A whole lot happening in under 3 (2?) minutes!

So I'm still drowning in work but . . . . . . . I spent a great deal of time when I wasn't watching LOST last night either being thrilled about SPN being renewed or angsting like crazy over Kripke turning showrunner duties over to Sera. So yea. Being a fangirl is emotionally exhausting. Hoping to turn my mind back to workage today. I have another dance trip this weekend. Good thing I called to confirm my hotel reservation this morning because they had it for MARCH. Eep! That would have been fun to find out this Friday. Fortunately the nice hotel guy fixed it for me. Not looking forward to the trip across Alligator Alley. Every time I feel myself start to panic over the thought of no Cas next season, I pull it all back in and focus on the positives and remind myself there's no point in stressing over it right now. And I remind myself of how popular Cas is, and that I read somewhere that Sera was actually one of the first people to say holy hell, this character is going to explode in popularity when she saw him in the dailies--so, I'm thinking she gets it. And if she doesn't, I'm thinking the network execs do, and they will force the show to keep him (even though I think, I HOPE, it wouldn't even come down to the network execs forcing their hand). And I'm really hoping my uncharacteristically Pollyanna attitude isn't going to come back to bite me in the ass.

I mean I know if I were running the CW and I added a character that exploded in popularity and helped the ratings surge skyhigh who has 40,000 twitter followers and won Mr. Twitter Universe and raised over $300,000.00 for Haiti from his followers in a couple of days and won the Fans Choice for best supporting actor on the CW - I would certainly take notice of it. Bites nails. But then sometimes networks are asses. And I have to stay away from posts where the smug Samgirls keep flaunting their Sera's "Sam and Dean's epic love story" comment all over the place.

Anyway, moving on from comments that are not Supernatural, I am thoroughly enjoying Lost this season and not stressing over it at all - which makes for a nice break from Supernatural viewing.
As I posted on LJ, I've stopped watching a ton of shows but Lost is still on the list. I'd venture over onto the Lost thread but my brain doesn't want to think too much about the show.

I had kind of forgotten about Scott, the guy who invited Buffy to a Buster Keaton festival. Then later he breaks up with her and Faith is pissed on her behalf. She cracks me up when she walks up to him and his date at the Homecoming dance and announces that the itching and oozing pustules should clear up soon as long as they continue to use the lotion. Faith was a pretty good friend to Buffy before she came over all evil.

Every scene of Buffy is like a mini-episode. Joss can pack so much story in a few words, actions, and set design. It's amazing. *pets Joss's amazing brain*

When watching Lost I've been trying to find the balance between working out the puzzle pieces they're giving us and allowing myself to enjoy the story that's unfolding. And I agree that it's been a great start to the final season.

Hah! Major accomplishmentage at my house today: stuff moved around in the bedroom and Billy bookcase in and safety strapped to the wall*. Storage: I haz it! Also, with the dresser moved, I can get all the way to the window to open and close it, yay! And, with the aforementioned more space by the window, it is now actually possibleto pick things up when they get knocked on the floor; this has been an issue because the space was less than a foot wide before and is now about 18".
Of course the next step is getting the shelves in and loading up the gazillion books whichhave otherwise stacked all over the bedroom; it doesn't actually put me ahead of things (what with having bought more books Saturday, and all) but it does at least save me from the leaning tower of Pratchett that has been growing on the headboard shelf.
Pretty Emily!
Julia, now if my hands would just stop twitching, et'c.
*I do not want to test the possibility of my having an unsecured bookcase being the thing needed to precipitate The Big OneBravo to the Billy! There can NEVER be too much storage! The best thing is that I now have access to two dresser drawers which were previously squished up against my bedside table. Well, that and having up to eight, thirty-inch long shelves for the purpose of storing books, DVDs, and (on the bottom ones) shoes. I have also sandbagged one of my own worst habits, because I no longer have a place on the far end of the dresser to dump unfolded laundry. Julia, know thy weaknesses, and caulk those holes, I always say
