Huh. Some movie people are scouting the coffee shop I'm sitting at right now for a movie or TV location. They are talking about some character throwing a trashcan through the door before realizing the door is unlocked. It's kind of weirdly cool. If they seem friendly enough, I'm going to ask them what they're scouting for. I'm betting it's probably for "In Plain Sight" which is set/filmed here, but wouldn't it be awesome if it was for the finale of Supernatural or something? Would that get Monnie into town? Or would I get the boys all to myself? V. cool. Tell them that you are a TV academic and afficienado and ask if you can be in a scene as an extra!!!! So, you are currently in NM --- I lose track. Better than breathing in ash particles in the UK I'd say. (Wondering if I perhaps should wish Allison's plane to be canceled.) Too true. Hell, I lose track myself where the hell I am lately. Well, had it been SPN or Sons of Anarchy (with Henry Rollins, no less) I would have been all over that action. Apparently, it's for a fall CBS show called "Scoundrels" with Nicolette Sheridan. Much less exciting.

And, as far as I know, they only film in Vancouver and the surrounding area. What? Yes, I am one of the creepy fans who knows their filming schedule. I even have a d'loaded pdf of a map that shows the locations of a good many of their favorite places to shoot. What of it? See, this is why you should go to graduate school. You get instantly upgraded from "creepy fangirl" to "dedicated academic." And hee! BB is my mom's nickname for me; it stands for "Baby Bubbles." Mom is "Tiny Bubbles" because she is both energetic and very very short. The "BB" moniker is a bit of a misnomer in my case, being 5'10'' and crabby/lazy. I believe it's meant ironically.

Heh, I'll add that to my list of reasons I should get off my ass and finish my bachelor's degree. I've gotten to where I use "bb" a lot lately. It gets used a lot in LJ land. YOU NEED TO JOIN LJ, YOU WOULD LOVE ALL THE META THAT GETS THROWN ABOUT, I CAN HOOK YOU UP WITH SOME GOOD COMMS AND INTERESTING PEOPLE. I feel like a drug dealer. ;D

I hate having to work with web addresses in citations. That is all. Dude. Seriously. And I had a buttload of them in my thesis, 'cause of the newness of my topic. (Hmm. Apparently proboards doesn't recognize "buttload" as a word. It also doesn't recognize "proboards" as a word either. How existential. )

I hate having to work with web addresses in citations. That is all. It can suck, that's for sure. Have you ever used Zotero? It might help with the formatting.

I hate having to work with web addresses in citations. That is all. It can suck, that's for sure. Have you ever used Zotero? It might help with the formatting. That's a great thought, and I appreciate the link. Unfortunately, I'm not using any sort of word processing program in this case—I'm laying out an article in a graphic design program. So in order to get lines to wrap properly, without ending up with either r e a l l y l o o s e l i n e s or tightly packed ones, I have to force a break in the address. Which is made much trickier by the fact that you can only do it before the punctuation marks in a url. Meaning an address like www.northerndynastyminerals.com/i/ndm/NDM_RobertDickinson_nov2007.pdf is usually a bitca to work with because you can't break big blocks of text like the "northerndynastyminerals" part. Good times.
