HAH! Finally managed to have a few minutes when it wasn't raining to take some photos, wet, cold and green. Julia, long day, this.

Who is that in your avatar? Why, that's Dr. Marvin Candle, (actually that's him pretending to be Dr. Edgar Halliwax), who was also called Dr. Mark Wickmund, who is actually Dr. Pierre Chang, from Lost. ;D He made a bunch of the Orientation videos. And he's posing with a rabbit.

Okay. I can take a hint. This is the second time in a row that I've posted a link to one of my projects and been ignored. I'll stop wasting all your time and insulting your intelligence with my crafty crap now. And you know what else? Right now, I have no sense of humor and no tolerance for anything much else, so I think it best I just go lurk for a while. If I don't post, that's why. I don't think anyone was hinting anything remotely like that. I love your stuff; if I don't always post that fact, it's usually because something has interfered: the phone, a family member...for others it might be work interruptions or some such. I'm absolutely certain that there is no one who would call your stuff crap! I understand why it's hard not to take it personally when you don't get a response. I mean, hey, I've had a new Angelphile up on our website since September of last year, and only Onjel posted any feedback. But I have to keep reminding myself that we all have stuff going on without cease. The other problem is the whole posting board structure; sometimes posts just get lost in the shuffle... Hope you feel better soon.

Saw this on Twitter: The Morgan Spurlock + Joss Whedon SDCC doc has a title -"Comic-Con Episode Four: A Fan's Hope" - Filming ends at SDCC '10.
So Joss really will be there this year. Oh my god, Lola. We might actually meet Joss.

Ah, here it is! I do like the back, in particular - blue and orange is a favorite combo of mine. I seem to recall doing some batik many years ago, but don't remember a lot about the process itself. Also? Today seems to be a day when everyone is snapping at each other a bit. Did I miss some traumatic event or something that is making everyone all hinky? Or is it just normal "I'm pissed at life" crankiness that afflicts us all at times?

Hope you feel better soon. *Hugs Erin and Lola* I just feel like all my nerve endings are raw, and everything hits me the wrong way. Since you asked, this is the finished project I made to give my mom: Altered Tin Picture Frame. The other one is the first lesson in my online class - I was just pleased that it was finished and looked okay, and wanted to share. Erin, I didn't have a pattern, it's just fabric cut in a square with batting between the two layers, and the back piece is rolled over the front edge and whip-stitched. It seems to be what all the cool art quilters are doing lately - this is the second teacher I've met who starts the project out this way. Lola, I post links to my LJ, but I try to make sure that when I do that, they're set as public.

Nick is working. What's up with that? We caught up on all our sitcoms. Cougar Town season finale. Just perfect!! OMG. So funny, with the balloons, Friends on the Beach, the girlfriend psycho face. And Bobby. Always a poignant moment that ties all the shinanegans together and makes it all so meaningful. Big Bang Theory? Firefly reference, Star trek AND a Husker reference all in one ep? So much more, but that's what comes to mind. So awesome! Right now, since Nick is on the phone with his project manager, I am watching the so far totally freaksome and awesome Grey's Anatomy finale. Oh. My. God. Freaking. Freaking. Freaking.

Oh my god, Lola. We might actually meet Joss. OMG. What if you are on the elevator with Joss and Lola and her foam latte with whipped cream! ?!! OMG! Will you carry a letter with you from me to Joss? And say how great I am when you hand it to him? Can you two be trusted to behave in the ladylike manner that will properly represent the S'cubies? OMG, OMG, OMG. My brain is just on fire with so many different thoughts . . . .

OMG, yes!! So good! The psycho face was awesome. When Laurie did "just the mouth"? I died laughing! Just a head - a head on the beach. Oh, Bobby! The bit about how Firefly was gonna be on for years? So bittersweetly funny. Don't freak out! I'm watching the 30 Rock ep.
