Morning. Still tired from late night Lostage. How is everyone? I'm good, got my Mother of Bride dress this weekend and shoes. Have car rented for trip. Still a few more things to organize. Morning! So, how did you like Lost last night? My friend (who watched it from the beginning like me) hated it. Nick and I both thought it was good. We even watched the pre-finale stuff. Which Nick thought was a good catch-up since he was a non-watcher. Interesting thought that maybe because he didn't struggle through all the twists and turns of the last 5 years his perspective was of a more 'clean' and straight storyline. Hmm... Anyway. Good myth.

Last night I thought I was handling the end of Lost just fine. This morning it all finally sunk in, and now I feel like I've been run over by a freight train. Or maybe a space shuttle. The only thing keeping me from crying at my desk is that Yoshi would see and likely make fun of me for it for years.

Hi everyone! It has been a busy week or so for me. I finished my invitations this week pictures can be seen in the scrapbook, and I went to a big family reunion this weekend. was a long day and went much better than I anticipated it going, but we had fun and hand delivered the invitations to my family and there was much complimenting. I hope everyone else had a good week. We're looking forward to this weekend because we have company coming from up north to celebrate Jas' 40th birthday, so I get to spend the week cleaning up the mess I made last week from sewing 50 invitations I'm rewatching Firefly. I started it last week as I was making invitations. I just finished Jaynestown. Much giggling and laughing made it hard to sew straight seams. I seem to be on a Joss kick right now. I watched season 7 of Buffy and then moved onto season 5 of Angel before I got to Firefly. Have to love Netflix. Lovely invitations, angelique! Posting the link to your photos for everyone's ease: angelique and jason's handfast invitation photos

Aw, I thought of you Sara. My favorite part? A certain reunion. My idea re the finale - seriously they had no idea how they were going to end this did they?
I just enjoyed it in a okay, as usual, I have no idea what the hell just happened. I had to read TWOP to even get ideas.
But hey - the reunion made me squee with insane happiness. That season will always be my fave.
Karen - in 2 wks on June 4th. Still tons of stuff to do of course.

I cried for about 15 minutes last night, and I keep getting teary-eyed when I think about it. So, why do you think that is? It was very well done - the ending. I was satisfied with it.

I'm still pretty shaky when I think of it. Of course, I've been pretty shaky over a lot of stuff for a while now, so it's not all Lost's fault.

As I told Matthew last night, after that reunion scene I was so far beyond rapturously happy it would take the light of rapturously happy a few millennia to reach me.

We were too whacked last night to watch anything; I am mostly recoverred except for a blister on my right instep.
It says something that I've been out of bed for an hour and am just now checking in; I suspect this is not going to be a productive day. though.
Julia, the fast that I just sneezed coffee all over everything is evidence , also

so tired... we're in a holding pattern. i called cardiology, and the pediatric cardiologist has to review kitty's files before they decide to give her an appt (or not). i'm to call back after 1pm. kitty's home from school today (obviously); she doesn't feel worse, but she really doesn't feel better either. it's looking like she'll be home for at least today and tomorrow, and maybe the rest of the week. there are only a couple more weeks of school, so this is going to be a real mess. anne, lowercase tired and down

First: Must agree with Anne - poodling is a fantastic word. I must steal it! Second: Don't let the real Evil overpower the fun EVUULLL that is you. Don't give them the power to ruin your fun. They are miserable, you aren't. Some tricks I've used in these situation: -------- Be a "Desmond Morris" type observer, observing "wild life" in its "natural habitat." Observe "the effects of long term atrophy of the brain" or some such thing. Seriously though, you can try taking a really clinical, objective eye to the situation. --------- Tell yourself you are an undercover agent at the event. You must behave as if you fit in, so you aren't discovered - but you are really there to gather as much information as you can about what these folks are like. --------- Use your interactions for your writing . . . turn the grrr-argh experience into something useful by sort of . . . stepping outside it. Observe your reactions and words with an objective eye, as well as the actions and words of others. Plan to write a short summary of your experience later. Well, anyhow - I join your family in saying: Congrats on your graduation! OMG, these are such fun ideas!!! And helpful! I used them whilst dealing with people at my garage sale this weekend.

Excellent excellent concert last night. Marc-André Hamelin was the guest conductor and Gilbert Varga the solo pianist!! The music was dueling Strauss and Ravel. Richard Strauss' Don Juan and the STUNNING Ravel Concerto in D major for Piano Left Hand, then Strauss' Burleske in D minor and Ravel's crazed La Valse. OMG, Varga was so amazing! On the Left Hand piece in particular. OMG! But of course. Lefties RULE!
