What, because we're crusaders against evil and now the law firm that represents most of the evil in the world has given us its L.A. branch to run however we want, probably in an attempt to corrupt, divide, or destroy us, and we all said yes in, like, 3 minutes?
Welcome to THE SOULFUL SPIKE SOCIETY PART 1108 Yup. My run-on sentences are just as pointless as ever. But, hey, still fun!
So, how long have you been evil?
So, a bit of business. We have rules. Erm. What? What happens if you break them? Well, we do have an orbital-range microwave cannon up there. Focuses the satellite's communications signals into a pinpoint beam. It can raise the temperature of the targeted area 1,000 degrees in less than 5 seconds. So, yeah, in theory, we could fry your brain. That is, if we did that sort of thing. Which we don't. Unless you post spoilers.
We also have a beautiful, happily-ever-after, candy mountain place where all our dreams come true. Complete with fanfic and reviews. Nifty, huh?
So, y'all who've had your sleep removed? Bad plan. The effects of long-term sleeplessness on the subconscious mind of an empath can be catastrophic. No, really. Take my word for it. I haven't slept in 9 months. The carnage at the supermarket alone....
Also, they don't just do sleep here. Madeline Chu in accounting, she had her ennui removed. [/color]

Thanks for getting the new part going, Rachael!
Just wanted to let you guys know that I'll be in Chicago, starting tomorrow, for about a week and a half. Not sure how much I'll be on the board, but wanted to tell you so no one would worry.
Hope all is well. My fingers are crossed for Spring's bureaucratic nightmare.

A headline I saw this morning on the Comcast home page about Jessica Simpson's love life:
Another Baller for Simpson?
Yeah, I still don't even have the words.

A headline I saw this morning on the Comcast home page about Jessica Simpson's love life: Another Baller for Simpson?Yeah, I still don't even have the words. I'm pretty sure that half the headline writers in the world are just trying to see how much they can get away with. (and thanks Rachael for the blast-from-the-past opener![Using Papyrus, no less, which some people find transgressive]) In my starts-this-week list, I forgot, again, to mention "Haven;" has anyone heard anything about this series (at 10pm/9 central Friday, after Eureka) that makes them really really want to watch it? I've read two or three items and/or read the same press release in two or three places, and can't even remember rightly what it's about, except that it sounds like that one Fringe episode with the mutants stretched into a series, sort of. Julia, still recovering form overoveroverdoing

Because I have no shame , and for those who didn't catch it in the last part: Finished Fiber Collage. I have been well and truly squishified , I ran an errand on the way home, I have eaten lunch, and I am now going to kick Patches off the bed and have a liedown with Pursuit of Love.

Nice opener, Rachael!!
Anne, I like your finished project. Frida Kahlo really inspired you!
Did everyone see that Javier Bardem is going to guest star on Glee? I wouldn't have predicted that in a million years. I wonder if he'll go all Vicky Christina Barcelona on them. Brrrowwwrr...

It's sort of there though, in the parts of Friday night when I'm not usually watching anything (home ball games aside). So I may just fail to turn the TV off. Julia, oh, well.

It's sort of there though, in the parts of Friday night when I'm not usually watching anything (home hall games aside). So I may just fail to turn the TV off. Julia, oh, well. Yeah, I think whether or not I watch will depend largely on the score of that evening's Sox game. Apropos of nothing, I have no idea what to even try to photograph today. Mostly because the very thought of standing outside for more than 5 minutes makes me cringe. Freakin' humidity...

Not sure how much I'll be on the board, but wanted to tell you so no one would worry. Hope all is well. My fingers are crossed for Spring's bureaucratic nightmare. Well, I called the BMV with my tale of woe today, and we had this exchange: ME: . . . so anyhow, it was already too late by the time I received this notice.
BMV: OK. Well, all that is going to happen is you will get a "pending suspension" notice on you license, and another 21 days to respond before it is actually suspended.
ME: And that won't give me any problems?
BMV: No.
ME: So if I'm pulled over, there won't be any issues with my license showing as "pending suspension."
BMV: Uh . . . . no? I mean, no. No. There won't be any problems. So, we left it on that note of resounding confidence that all will be well. I am going to be contacting my insurance company tomorrow about getting the letter on their letterhead, signed by my agent. And I think I have a copy of the policy page they want. And a copy of my card, of course. They've been doing this since 1998 you say, Sue? Wow. So far, only one person in a dozen or so that I have mentioned this to, even knows about it. I imagine "they might audit me!" is meant as a deterrent, so people don't drive without insurance thinking "they'll never catch me." Except with a small sample size and no publicity, I don't know how well that works out. A useless pain in the ass. Ohio, I do not love you so much, today.

Every time I try to set up the tripod for some serious flower photography I get side-tracked by the whole weeding thing; in general I'm so tapped out by my husband's problems and my daughter's utter refusal to step up and fill in that I do well to keep up with taking pills and eating and taking insulin (which is up to four times a day, very distracting and no fun at all). Julia, wishing for miracles and everything suddenly getting much better; at least there's Ziva, now.
