I'm trying to come up with a polite way to tell someone that if they ever again do the "hurry up" hand roll motion while snapping their fingers, even in jest, as a way to indicate they need something from me soon I will remove said appendage with a butter knife and feed it to them. Thoughts? LOLOL, I laugh because I've done that to my coworkers before. ;D But they all love me so they'd never think to be upset with me for it. Actually, most of them are scared of me and would never think of telling me they're upset with me for it. I don't know why they're afraid of me. I'm a snuggly happy cheerful non-threatening baby lamb!

We got rolled.Moderate, but a ways from us, so no damage here. I was ironing, and at first I thought I'd leaned too hard on the ironing board. As soon as I realised it was an earthquake, I unplugged the iron, set it upright and moved back a bit. Good thing the board is one of those oldfashioned built-ins so it can't fall over. I've emailed various family members, including my sister and her husband, who are closer to the epicenter. So we're all fine here, how are you?

I guess it's working. Been a long time since I posted anything on here. Spring, I am so sorry to read about your family tragedy. Dealing with the aftermath of this trauma is not fun. After my Dad passed there was all sorts of stupid paperwork to do. That's the last thing you want to do a a time like this. My prayers are with you. Thanks, Betsy! So great to hear from you! Drop back by more often.

Julia, and about to go move sprinklers again, as per usual

Lovely photos and terrible weather. It feels cooler in the house- at 80.1 than outside, so, there you go. Julia, would check the outside temp but I'm currently in denial.

Because I have no shame , and for those who didn't catch it in the last part: Finished Fiber Collage. I have been well and truly squishified , I ran an errand on the way home, I have eaten lunch, and I am now going to kick Patches off the bed and have a liedown with Pursuit of Love. Beautiful. And excellent sentiments. Thank you! As soon as I found the right quote, it all started coming together. And thank you, too, Karen!

Thoughts? Well, you could say to the offender, politely but firmly, "If you ever do that at me again, I will remove the offending digits with a dull butter knife and feed them to you". I think that might get your message across.

Unfun! I am so happy that my sister's ex is an electrician. **send you good remodel vibes** I am fairly happy with the new built-ins in my place, except for an oddly placed cut-thru for cords. Why into a drawer? Why not into the open space on the other side? That is where one will place the cable box or other equipment? You know, the stuff that needs the cords run to it? Why? Ahem. But they are very lovely in every other way - so I am very very happy!! **goes back to looking at the pretty** Think I screwed this up! Congrats on your remodel. I love your condo, especially your kitchen! Love to check out your new updates sometime. If I ever get back to Minneapolis. Betsy! How you doin', girl? Thanks for the condo compliment! I for sure would love to have folks return for visit(s) - preferably when it's not hotter than hell out. ;D Seriously, I'd love to show off the old town when it's more comfy and we could do all sorts of things that it was just too hot to do when s'cubiefest was here.

Hiya S'cubies RSVPs are slowly trickling in. This week's to do list includes starting my dress by having a taping and pattern drafting session, getting Jason's pattern and doing his muslin, adjusting said pattern and then making his shirt. Next week I get to do my dress, finish the cranes, start the pie crusts for the individual hand pies I'm making for the picnic, and start my snood for my hair, which I think will echo the central pattern of my shawl only in a cobweb red cashmere with white seed beads instead of the white with red beads of my shawl. And doing a complete cleaning because Rich is coming down next weekend to watch us do that whole legal thing If only we weren't slowly roasting... I hate hot weather. Have a great day, and stay cool! The shawl-matching snood sounds very pretty, as does all the rest! I look forward to seeing pictures of the happy day! And I'll keep my fingers crossed for cooler better weather for you.

The word for that icon is "comfort." So, I second the emotion. I really feel for you having to go through all of that stuff and have your life in such upheaval. I know you have some support, but offer mine in whatever way possible. I'll eetah that. Much sympathy and empathy. The paperwork and odd bits of things to deal with go on far longer than one would think or hope.
