>snip< I know just how he feels. Test driving a vertical mouse; this one seems... peculiar. Julia, thanks for the shiny new part. You are welcome! I hope the vertical mouse works for you. Keep us informed on that. I might get one for work, but it looks odd to me.

Thanks for all the vibes and good wishes. Oh, angelique -- thinking of you and hoping for a good outcome after all your careful planning and hard work. Don't blame yourself, although as my sister oftens says "it may not be my fault, but it is my problem.
Hoping, hoping you find a good alternative and it all works out. Sorry to be so trite, brain only half functioning, but the good wishes are for real.

Keep us informed on that. I might get one for work, but it looks odd to me. The one that works best, so far, is a 3M one that looks like a joy stick; it's a little too narrow for my palm (but comes in bigger sizes) and doesn't have a scroll wheel, but works OK. I haven't tried it for anything tricky (like using the retouch tool for unuseful flies in flower pics) but it's OK for cruising the web. Anna's off taking her driving test, if anyone has vibes to spare. Julia, all phalanges crossed, myself

Kitty and I have been back to the dentist. She got her cavity filled, I got the rest of the gum-pockets planed or whatever they call it. I have to go back in three months, which insurance does not cover, dammit. As usual, the novocaine took so long to kick in that it was basically no help during the torture procedure, but my nose is now numb on the right side. We are both having frappuccino for lunch. What the hell, I deserve it. I could use a hug, if anyone has some brackets lying around.

Well, Anna didn't pass her driver's test; she's used to Bailey's car, and the Camry is much bigger and wider.
The fact Franklin has resisted letting her drive our car isn't much help.
If you want to keep vibing, please send "reasonable human being" vibes to him; he's acting like his own father, which is a worse thing than you can imagine.
Julia, running a fever, ugh.

You really have to stop doing this, you know. Tell me about it. I seem to have developed a small ear thing. My Doc is saying not to worry. Julia, meanwhile, I feel rather like a piece of gum on the bottom of a marathoner's shoe

Morning! I am in need of a gallon of coffee. I watched Lucas last night. He is a ball of energy, that one. Lew came over and kept an eye on him so I could take a shower and wash off 2 hours of golf sweat from earlier that evening. The sweat didn't evaporate during my match. Just kind of pooled in my bra and ran down my stomach. Looked like I was lactating. Heat index hovered around 100 yesterday and it doesn't look like we'll get any break on the humidity/heat for the rest of the week, at least. Now I remember why we always went to the ocean in late July/August. Heat and humidity is always better tolerated with the ocean nearby. But I am not complaining....much.
