The write up of the show actually sounds like it has promise ala Eureka or Warehouse 13. The show is titled Three Inches? The jokes practically write themselves...

So, the power's been out in Arlington since 10 p.m. last night (thank you electricity gods for at least waiting until after Leverage). I haven't opened my refrigerator at all since then, but I'm starting to wonder how long I can give it before I have to seriously consider chucking all of the perishables. Thoughts? If you haven't opened it, I think you'll be good for at least a day, though - how hot has it been in the apartment? And definitely, give everything a good smell test before you use it - and consider going ahead and cooking any touchy perishables - you know, boil the eggs, cook the chicken, etc, to warm up later. That way they don't sit any longer than they already have in their raw state, since even in the fridge, they continue to age. Good news: apparently we got our power back around 12:30 p.m., so I figure most everything will be okay. And, to answer your question, it's actually fairly cool in my apartment for a change—right now the thermometer reads 67 degrees inside. However, I will definitely be following everyone's advice about giving stuff a careful sniff test before proceeding. Thanks for all the help!

Because I didn't know if I'd have power when I got home, today's pics are already up.

The show is titled Three Inches? The jokes practically write themselves... I know! But I say we write them anyhow. I mean - I know if I start doing reviews of this, I'm gonna have to. It's required!! Why do I think the show runners are well aware of this. I mean, the whole premise of the show is that it doesn't take mega super powers to be a super hero -- sometimes all it takes is ............. 3 inches.* *It's how you USE those 3 inches that matters, don'tchaknow.

I know! I thought the same thing. It's all about being smart about how you use the three inches you've got! It's hard to believe that writers and marketing types, who are very tuned into all the nuances of words, didn't notice the subtext. I'm guessing the writers will be throwing in quite few subtle (and not so subtle) double-entendres and such. And if they don't, I will be forced to do reviews to help them along. Well, here's hoping the pilot gets accepted and the show is a good one!

Other than the part where it makes me remove my eardrums with a spork? Absolutely nothing. But it's not all TWC music—just what they play when they're doing their run through of radar maps for every area of the country. But, of course, this is just my personal reaction. Yoshi obviously enjoys it, and I still like him just the same as I did before he switched it on. My father listens to a lot of smooth jazz as well. So if someone happens to dig the genre, more power to them—it just happens to be, to my brain, the musical equivalent of nails on a chalkboard. I was just pulling your chain. Hehe...That reminds me, everytime I hear this, I stop to listen, which is not surprising since it's The Who - Eminence Front. But mostly, TWC music is a bit irritating for some reason.
