OK - long gown, logo, some swirls representing our connections . . . a blood-like look . . . I went with the red and black for the S3, but we need something to represent the crazy . . . so, what else does this need?

What other accessory does a Slayer need? Some jewelry? Maybe a serpent bracelet to represent all the snakes that were on the show? Earrings? Hat? Necklace? Maybe a weapons bag?

How about an umbrella in her hand, like Buffy had at prom, only it's got "s'cubies" or "s'cubie love" or "s'cubies together" or something like that printed all over it? Or maybe a hat? ;D

If she has a necklace, shouldn't it be a cross? Or maybe a cross with a stake-like lower end? I love the dress, Spring!

Runway!
April - Oh, I like this one a lot! She's even got me liking the one sleeve thing, and I usually hate that! I do really like her print as well. Love the bodice with the slash of print coming down from the sleeve/shoulder and the fluffy skirt thing. Nice!
Andy - Hmmmm. This, is not so good. The print looks just kind of dull, the cut is a bit dull in front and too oversized in back. And the little black vest things without an actual vest are just odd.
Mondo - OMG, so gorgeous!! Love love love his print. Love the flowy pants. Love the print and drape of the blouse. Love the jacket. LOVE!!
Valerie - OK, this is better, Valerie! I like this, it's a cute dress. The shape of the skirt is very nice! The pattern is not as obvious, might be a bit more muted than I would have done, but it looks good overall. I like the bodice, although it has some fit issues.
Gretchen - I do like the print and wish we could see more of it, actually. The blouse is an OK shape, but I'm not totally sold on the fit of the bodice although the slight ruffle/flutteryness around the collar is very nice. I think I like the pants, but I am not sure of the back panel thing.
Michael C - Hmmm. I'm not really liking the fit of the bodice/waist/hip area. The panels give it too much stiffness, in the wrong way. On the other hand, they do elevate it from being just a basic dress. The print and color are coming off a bit drab, though.
Christopher - I like his print as well, and the drape of the top is nice, if a bit simple. And the pants seem nice, if kind of simple too.
OK, posting boldly again before hearing what the judges say. ;D

Mondo's had me in tears half the night. Who thinks he'll take it tonight? He did it! Valerie's aufed, but doesn't seem too upset about it.

OK!! The hat and bugs represent the scarabs that help Spike get his soul - we are the Soulful Spike Society, after all. The logo is for our fave show, that brought us together! The swirls are about our connections. The crosses are for the way we protect each other from EVUULL! She carries a stake topped by three roses - the stake for S'cubie power, the three flowers for Patty, Nan, and Jan. And I wanted something to represent the crazy, but this is so sedate and stuff, I guess I kinda left that out . . .

Thanks, Spring, for another S'cubie entry for Project Runway. I wish we could contact them to show them your designs. While ususally insane, they are runway ready and always original.

Judging! Gretchen (print is inspired by her mother's sunbonnet) - Heidi likes the print, the silhouettes, the back detail of the pants. Michael says pants are great (disco earthy? ) There is difficulty with the way the print is placed (I'd agree with that, I think a bigger expanse of that print would have been better). Nina likes the print, but the outfit is not wow enough. Guest judge also says it is just "almost" there. Michael (evil eye print) - Good that he tried to make the outfit more wow since the print is subdued, but it looks like she's wearing a foulard. (Yes!! That is what I couldn't put my finger on, but yes!) Funny like a joke, although Heidi likes it. Wrong styling. Christopher (water, San Fran) - Don't see water in the print. Flattering silhouette, but was that meant or just an afterthought? Fine clothes, but not fashion. Nice, safe, boring. (Ooooh, and they're finally speaking to more of the designers about the dullness of their stuff - finally!!) Andy (bubbles of memory) - Like the painterlyness/wearableness of the print, but outfit is odd, confusing, upsetting. Shorts, but not sexy. Sadness from the print and the design. Disappointed in him. (Well, he was disappointed in himself too, so it's interesting that they can see this.) Michael likes the print too, but again the outfit is banal. Pleats are odd. Unwearable. April (divorce, family tree) - Michael sees the friction, likes the bodice and the idea of print, fabric is too soft looking but he likes that he sees her in it, sees how it connects to her look/her work. Nina thinks the print is charming, loves the silhouette, overall effect is interesting. Was the favorite of the guest judge, most unique voice, likes the print and how it is hidden and shown. It is also Nina's favorite print, but the poufyness of the skirt is not flattering. Valerie (blueprint, in honor of her builder dad) - They compare it to her napkin dress (and shown side by side, yeah, there is a lot of overlap, in the bodice as well). Michael thinks she took all the life out of the fabric (I really think she is hiding the print too much). Odd layering of fabric, low-waisted and rippling. Nina feels the overall effect of design is heavy. Guest judge feels the blue peeking out below is not good and that there is too much and the fit on top is not best. Mondo (he says the part about making collages he made for his mother, but won't say the part about HIV status - this is obviously sooo hard for him!) - Nina thinks it's terrific, although she wants the story; terrific, this is fashion, loves that he's not afraid of mixing prints or color, model looks sharp, although the pants are a bit high waisted - it is editorial, if she had to shoot something, this would be it. Michael says that fabric and color and pattern mix is something he excels at, there is a sharpness to it and joy, like it even without the jacket. Guest judge sees a bit of disconnect between vision and outfit at first, but she does like it. Nina thinks it is great, so well put together, kooky, makes a statement. Whoa!! He tells them!! And obviously he really really struggled. I loved how he felt better, free, after telling! Winner is Mondo!! Woot!! **does handsprings** Auf'd is Valerie. Ah, well. I liked her outfit better than they did, but she hasn't been hitting it out of the park lately, so I'm not too surprised.

I apparently missed something -- the images that are missing are from the website which is temporarily down?
Seemed like it was back, no?

talking of viruses: my laptop computer just got one, I reckon. the virus checker says it cleaned it, but then it keeps on saying it cleaned it, again again, and is deleting a lot of my html files. I was reading here when it happened. I venture back from a different computer running a different browser with a lot more blocking stuff. Is very not cool. Not very cool at all. Hope your computer recovers without too much damage. well after spending all day on the phone with tech support and running a lot of anti malware scans my laptop will be returned to them to be fixed by cleaning it off and starting again. I have hopes my backups will be thorough for the older files, but I'm apprehensive about my more recent ones. College notes from yesterday for instance. They've said they'll do a backup and make everything clean and working. I really do hope so.
