Hi HI HI! Went for pre-op appointment this morning to be asked loads of questions and meet with the anesthesiologist so she doses me properly next Monday. I'm kind of getting antsy to get this all finished! I send you some good wishes for that via the mail. It should be there in the next couple of days. Got all digits crossed for success. Oooh, cool! Is it "ASL for Dummies"? ;D

Woo hoo! Kneel before sod! There's a guy named Todd here at the coffee shop. I told him about "kneel before Todd" and he was highly amused. He said he didn't think he could actually get anyone to kneel before him, and I refrained from the obvious dirty comment. I think I've grown. I am impressed by your self-control! Kudos!

No blog driven by joyful pleasure is ever boring to similar minded folks. As long as you're loving it, that's what matters! Morning S'cubies! It took a lot of effort to crawl out of bed this morning, what with the drizzly weather. (Did you know 'drizzly' was a word? huh) Good morning to sleep in. Drizzly is a word in my vocabulary, and the Firefox spellcheck approves of it (but not, oddly, of "spellcheck"). This morning in addition to the regular routine, I set up my crockpot with pseudo coq au vin, I walked up to the market, I washed the cotton fabric I bought yesterday, and I have hopes of bookbinding later, after I nip over to the library and after Elder Daughter leaves for school so I can use the kitchen table. Industrious! I have managed to do minimal work, while looking majorly busy. The sun is lazily trying to shine today. It's fall. Lucas knows fall from some kid show that he watches. Wonder how he's doing. Chris hasn't been able to see him since the order of protection, and neither have I.

Lola - Gorgeous pictures. We have such talented S'cubies what with the photo taking and the craft making and the Project Runway, etc. Monnie -- so what was up with New Orleans? -- just decided to extend the vacation? So sorry you got sick -- easy to do with lots of airplane flights and crowds. Yeah, several friends were meeting up in NoLa that week after the con, so since I was already taking vacation I decided to fly from Chicago to there and hang for a few days. Not a good thing to do when one is sick, but I'm glad I went anyways. I met some great people.

All my spellcheckers seem to like you to use a lot of hyphens in compound words. Even weirder it let spellcheckers go but lit up spellcheck until I put in the hyphen. spell-check ============= And, in exciting news (to me): I have sod! Granted it is a 10 foot by 4 foot rectangle of sod in a yard that is close to an acre (I think?) But it is right off the back concrete patio area. Now if the much much much larger space of brown dirt which has just been seeded will grow into something even half as nice .... Woo hoo! Kneel before sod! DO IT AGAIN! DO IT AGAIN! ;D

Good Monday morning, S'cubies! Wake up, wake up, wherever you are, and greet your fellow S'cubies who fell from a star. They fell from the sky, they fell very far, and RealLife they say is the name of the star! Don't MAKE me get my flying monkeys! Diane *snerking quietly*

Right there with ya, Scooter. Now that I'm almost 2 weeks post-op and am beginning to see improvement, it may all prove to have been worth it. Still tiring too quickly, and still sore at surgical site, but pain much diminished. Mostly. Keep on asking them questions, Sister!

Weird experience of the day.
I have two bluetooth devices. Bought the second when the first went missing. Both by Plantronics but different series. A week ago the first one showed up again. As an aside, the first device sometimes disconnects itself from the phone. At those times the sound has always reverted back to the phone.
Was using the first device today. Then the sound on the bluetooth stopped working but the phone sound didn't work except on speaker.
Playing with the phone revealed that the second device had co-opted the the phone, probably as I walked past it. I didn't even know the damn thing was ON!
Has anyone ever had something like this happen to them?
