Oh! Well, let us know how it is going. I didn't manage to read the whole email from children's services before this morning's meetings, but allowed myself to glance quickly at it, where I saw the words, "if you want to proceed," and something about the home inspection, which was enough for me right then. I am guessing she is responding that I have to get lined up for home inspection, but I'm worried on that score (which she knows) because the boy turns 18 in Jan, and I don't think I can be ready for Jan. Of course, she may have addressed that in the email. How can I know if I don't read it? I can't know, can I? I am just so scared there is something preclusive or horribly disappointing in it. Also, I am scared that there is something very encouraging in it, and before I know it, the boy will be in my home and then . . . OK. Alright. I know! I am being ridiculuous. However, I have made progress. Teeny, tiny, teeny progress. But progress. Thanks for your indulgences, Squeemonster and Company. Word of the day: Gachnar! Who's a little fear demon? Come on! Who's a little fear demon!I think Spring is definitely on to something [ that's on TO something, folks, not "on something," sheesh ]. We need to verb that Gachnar thing as in: I know you are concerned about whatever, but you to gachnar* that idea and relax. *realize that the fear itself is actually far greater than the thing you are actually fearing. (Did that make sense?)

There isn't any place on the site that tells it. People who work for TV Guide are reporting the standings on Twitter every once in a while. Oh! Well, let us know how it is going. Spring:
I know I'm late weighing in on this, but I only really have one piece of advice. I can't tell you open or no, but I do know, from my own experience, that fear is generally a message of some sort. Sometimes a bad one (not wanting to take risks), and sometimes a good one (that risk is not a good one to take). So, the only thing I can say is try and figure out what the fear is trying to tell you.
Also, big love to you, either way. You're still awesome regardless.

So, still/again with the not sleeping thing; I was both active and efficient all day yesterday (and made mariscos el diablo for dinner, although Anna peeled the shrimp for me) but kept waking up in pain every time a big squall blew over. I guess the upper midwest and especially Chicago is getting/going to get what we've had, and there's enough wind and rain left to make big trouble.
Julia, today is supposed to be the end of the storm, and all I can say is I certainly hope so

I am going to go read it right now. There is sense in fearing the fostering if I'm not ready. But there is no sense in not reading the email. It's lunch time so I can come right back here and post. That helps me. OK. Here goes nothin'. OK! Here I go.

Wow. We are having some high, window rattlin' winds, here . . . Yeah, Vandy just got tornado warned. Oddly, here the wind has died down, during the rain part. Now we are under a watch but I think the worst of it is north of us -- KY, IN and headed into OH. 80 degrees today and tomorrow, then 33 on Thursday night. So a 45 degree drop in 36 hours, but that's 2 days away. I guess this is the pre-show.

Alright.
I was definitely gachnaring the whole email opening thing.
That wasn't bad at all.
S'cubies - I tell you though, just knowing I could come right back here and post was SUCH A HELP! Thank you, my bestest internet buds! You are "RL" friends, as much as anyone in the (currently rattling) buillding!
I will put more info on the Admin thread - do not want to compromise the boy's identity or anything like that on the open board.

Bite me, Jim Cantore, et al. For playing on our fears and such. It is windy here, but that's nothing new for this time of year around Halloween. Say bye bye to the gorgeous fall foliage. Hello to Mr. Frost and company.
