The winds are kinda amazing right now.
I will have to make sure I pin Nanucci securely to his chain when I let him out, or I do believe he would make friends with Toto in Oz.
I wrote the "rest of the story" in the Admin thread, about the fostering thing. Am going to remain cool and calm. Have counselor on Wednesday evening (tomorrow) and that will help.

argh: I had decided not to go to the Hallowhedon convention on Halloween weekend. It's the weekend before an exam, and I wasn't especially interested in 3/4 of the guests. But there was Anthony Head... but then there's a whole weekend to see one guy... so I thought, no, be sensible, don't go. So now they've gone and announced Robin Sachs. <--- that Robin Sachs. ... must calculate all over again! ... could I even get myself organised for this Friday? Do I have clean clothes that fit? Would there be a hotel room? Okay the website says there's hotel rooms. I don't even know if there's any people going, let alone people I know... I will probably sit around at my house and not go. Probably. I'd have to buy tickets on the door from this close anyway. ... I haven't been to any conventions for ages. According to my 'conventions' tag I haven't been to any for a full year. That's just weird. ... I thought I'd decided this. Now there is thinking again...

But seriously - tough decision-making there, be. I wish I could say I would go for you and report back, but I don't think I can arrange it in time. I love the name of the event, though.

I mean, no offense, but when you have man-hands like that, you want to underplay the shoulder thing.

Oogh, am I tired. However, usefuls got slayed, they did. Last night Emily turned on her cell phone and found a message from OCTA lost & found about the bag of books she left on a bus last August - they had a bag matching that description. She called this morning and left a message, and we waited a while. I finally offered to drive her down there, because you really can't get there by bus without it taking two buses and several hours . Before we hit the road I listened to the voicemail, which said she didn't need to call, she could just come down, and poked around until I found when it was sent - 13 Oct. I strongly suggested she check her phone for messages every evening. Anyway, we drove down there, and they had the bag, so that's one less worry. I took her to college, and she was going to return the books immediately. Then I went home, did more laundry, and assembled the star books kit. I don't think I'll make those again; they're pretty, but not really usable as journals. Photo albums, maybe, but more ornamental than useful. And the last load is about to go into the dryer, just in time for the rest of the family to start returning home. It's been a very long day, and it's not even close to over yet.
