Natalie French: The praying mantis is a fascinating creature. Forced to live alone.
Xander: I see. So if she's not human she's...?
Buffy: Technically? A big bug.Welcome to Part 1117 of the Soulful Spike Society Main Thread!!! Relax. Have a martini. We're not California Praying Mantises, and you're not forced to live alone here, but that doesn't mean you're not fascinating. So is our website where you'll find a host of essays, reviews, commentary and fan fiction written by our very own S'cubies, including our very own Queen Bee E, for hours of solitary fun. ;D If certain topics of the day bug you and you don't want to be alone, go here where you can rant, get out the bug spray, call an exterminator have deep discussion about them, with others of like sentiment or opposing beliefs. Creepy crawlies can be found everywhere, especially in some of our favorite television shows and we have a special place to talk about them as we cluster around the egg sacs. If you want to avoid driving us buggy, risk having your heads bitten off or having us screech in your ears like bat sonar, please be sure to play nice, read the Rules and avoid posting spoilers anywhere but under the ghost button provided for your convenience, or in Spoiled Souls. Fail to do these things and you might find the phrase "squashed like a substitute teacher in Sunnydale bug" to be prophetic. ;D

FIRST!
Wow, that was randomly odd, since I've barely gotten here recently.
And, I'm off to do errands.

Onjel swings! It's a hit! She SCORES!
Great part opener!
And to repeat what I said just before the last part tanked,
My daughter is talking about going to ComiCon. After all these years she's finally joining me in geekdom.
I'm so proud.

It is clear and warm and breezy here. On Nov. 3. I am disquieted.
Julia, but I'm doing laundry like a madwoman.

Our backyard thermometer says it's currently 97°, and the nearest Weather Underground station to us says 101.7°. Nov 3, and it's over 100 degrees. Anne, very little of the useful and nothing of the fun accomplished today

Julia, and I am shot, shot, shot from cows and laundry

I'm a bit bummed. I wish I'd find out about some of the places I've applied to at the beginning of last month. Waiting really is the hardest part.
