I'm a bit bummed. I wish I'd find out about some of the places I've applied to at the beginning of last month. Waiting really is the hardest part.

Man, I love your photos of birds. I am always captivated by the very minute details you capture that I've never seen in other people's pics of birds. Tongues and wing/feather detail and their personalities!

Tongues and wing/feather detail and their personalities! Thanks. Even though it's my blog and all, I've been feeling some guilt over all the bird pics lately—I start thinking I should have variety for the folks who visit. But I really enjoy photographing birds, so... Anyway. Nice to know at least one person doesn't find it too boring.

Thanks, sweetie. Sorry to whine. Dude. I've known many whiners. I've worked alongside many whiners. I've listened to whiners whine until I wanted to jam chopsticks in my ears. You, my friend, are not a whiner. So, no worries.

And don't feel guilty!

Like a car alarm. I keep forgetting that most people can't hear that.

Thanks, sweetie. Funny, weird thing: Mom, in an cupboard-cleaning frenzy, came across a mug from my top pick place. She has no idea where it came from, who gave it to her, or how long she's had it. She thinks it's an omen. I think it's mocking me.

Oh, but inside my head? WHINE CITY. Like a car alarm. I keep forgetting that most people can't hear that. Oh, THAT'S what that noise is. Also Too bad I don't have that key clicker thing to turn it off. Hey, have you guys heard of RiffTrax? It's three of the guys from MST3K riffing on newer movies. They also mock the first two episodes of Heroes; I downloaded it with the "hey, it could be relevant for my thesis" excuse. God knows how I'll justify these things when I'm done. Unless I can (finally) use the "it's for work!" excuse.
