So I figured out how to make my own notification tones for my cell phone. So now, every time I get a text, I hear Castiel saying, "Hey! Assbutt!" ;D Ooh! I want! Of course, I'd need a cellphone that could actually do that. *sigh*

Assbutt!" ;D That will get you some strange looks at the grocery store! ETA: Please post your number so I can text you. I want to make sure you get the full pleasure of hearing Castiel many, many, times a day. I liked this idea so well that I texted her, "Hey, Assbutt!" But then I heard back that she had been driving with the radio turned up loud, so my attempt to have her hear, then see the same greeting did not work.

Reasonable. I liked this: Continuity works best as a support system for a larger, more identifiable, more human story. It doesn't work as the primary engine and prism through which to ascertain the success of a show. Structure can be a fun thing to analyze, and Lord knows there are plenty of things to glean about a show by looking at its structure. But if characters serve structure instead of story, then the results can be intellectually interesting but emotionally stilted

But if characters serve structure instead of story, then the results can be intellectually interesting but emotionally stiltedInteresting. I definitely agree that structural continuity is not the primary thing. I definitely need characters to be believable. They can surprise me with aspects of their character I didn't know about (just as real people do), or they can change due to a series of "life's lessons" and such . . . but don't turn the show's most lovable character into the an evil villian overnight, just because you want to shock the audience in the finale with the solution to the"who done it." I'm much rather deal with a lack of continuity in the structure than characterization. But if a show goes too far afield, I just plain get bored with it. I get bored with a story that continually makes no sense, goes round in circles, has many plot lines that go nowhere, etc. The characters may be spot-on, but I still get bored when the story becomes something I just can't really follow.

Season 6 of Doctor Who will premiere on BBC America on Saturday, April 23, Entertainment Weekly reports.
Easter weekend.
Interesting choice. Although ... I may be the only one who really noticed.

Somebody caught my whole encounter. Look for me at about 7:50:
I was terrified when I heard this was up. While I'm joking on the outside, inside I was in such terrible emotional pain that I was afraid I'd break down in front of the entire theater.
Alex Skarsgard looked into my eyes with such kindness and such compassion it was hard to hold it together. If you want to know, the kiss was warm, soft, slightly scratchy and very, very gentle. What you can't see (for which I am so grateful) is that even while I made my "Now I do" joke, my eyes were filling with tears. By the time I groped my way back to my seat I lost it completely and cried for pretty much the remainder of the presentation.
The thought of this whole thing on video and going viral left me in a state of panic. It was a great relief to find out that I hadn't made a complete fool of myself.

And you hair (as always) is gorgeous!

Diane, *big Mommy Anne hug* @ S'cubies. I did my regular shopping center walk. According to Emily's and my pedometers, it's just about a mile round trip. I've tried using the googlemap pedometer thingy to measure it, but the map is so far out of date that it doesn't let me cross at my regular legal with signals intersection. In fact, according to the googlemap, the shopping center hasn't been built yet. Alternate universe, or crack in time, do you think? Back to slaying the usefuls.

SilverCrow is having a Shrine Challenge, and since I've made a couple using their nichos, I decided to enter one of them: Arachne's NichoI should take a photo of the wall above the computer - family photos, two nichos, a shadowbox... fun stuff.
