Oh, Emily... Emily is: finally forward-facing in her car seat (she loves it), cleared from her pediatrician for being so thin (she's "healthy but skinny"), talking up a storm - sentences (short ones), about a dozen new words a day...she's growing up. It's very cool. Vince was a skinny-minny too once he got past a chubby babyhood, but then got a bit of a "baby fat" layer in adolescence/puberty, only to get skinny again once he got past the transition, and into manhood. And yes - the way they take off with language is truly cool. And then the way they take off with everything else after that, too. Does Emily know about baby? By the time it comes, she will be old enough to be pretty excited by the baby coming home.

Katherine just bought a Gameboy. A special edition Pokémon White Gameboy pack. She saved up her allowance for months because she knew it would be coming out this month, Paul took her to Target this morning, and she bought one. Katherine is a happy little geek. I don't think we'll be seeing much of Katherine, the rest of the day. At least it'll give the rest of us *coughEmilycough* more time on the PC. I'll probably be taking her to Borders later this week to blow the rest of her savings on manga. She's such a fun kid. Actually, so is Emily; if she isn't donating her allowance to worthy causes, which we generally match, she's ordering esoteric linguistics books from Amazon, to read for fun.

I really need it to stop raining so I can get some outside work done today, notably planting the violas and frittillarias I bought yesterday into a nice big flower dish.
Julia, it is possible that I really do not like rain much

Heh, heh, heh.
Sleet storm. We shall not mention getting outside work done today, eh?
Julia, oh, well.

Re-watching the seriously crack-tastic recent ep of House before I bring myself to delete it. "Good thing I brought my ax-cane." HA!

Yeah, that was lovely. Here, I get to drag my butt out of bed in the dark for another couple of months. OTOH, it's going to be 70 degrees here, daily, any second now. Which is nice. The bump is bumping along nicely. I felt some movement really early, last week, but nothing since. It's also the size of my Emilybelly at 20 weeks, but only 15 weeks along. And morning sickness left before 12 weeks this time, which is wonderful. We find out gender (and all the important anatomy stuff) in two weeks, assuming the little demon cooperates. bump Indeed! Yay, bump! Yay, Emily, with the growing and all!

ALSO: You really need to stay in Shamrock through March 17th, just so you can say you did. Plus, I bet they put on a good St Paddy's Day celebration.

We hates Daylight Savings Time. We hatessss it, Preciousssss. No, really. Nothing is being "saved", and I have to get up earlier every morning. What's fun about having to get up in the dark (again)? Sing it sistah. Nothing is being saved if you have to use your lights for an hour in the morning as opposed to an hour in the evening. Stupid idea.
