Actually, I'm trying to back-track to learn more about fanfic- hence the trolling my old hang-outs! Somehow I managed to dive right into writing paranormal/scifi without ever trying my hand at fanfic, and now I want to learn more about that world. Seems most of my writing compatriots got their start on fanfic sites.

There are others here who could speak about fanfic much more knowledgeably than me; I'm more of a fanvid girl.

I made a Supernatural vid! The last episode inspired me to jump back into the vidding pool. Let me know what ya'll think. That was really lovely--you really captured the essence of the Cas/Dean dynamic as it stands now, both in the clips and the song choice. Bravo, my dear! Thank you, sweetie! I seem to have hit a nerve in my corner of the fandom with it. There's been crying & rending of garments. I couldn't not do it after the last ep, their relationship fits this song so perfectly right now. I still need to leave you proper comments in the SPN thread!

I like the way the jumpy shots go with the jumpy music. I like the way the Cas shots show him changing and sort of . . . aging. Nice job showing the confusion, regret - but also, striving and love. And I probably imagined this, but I thought it had a touch of slashiness.

Nice to see you again! Hope things are going well in your corner of the world... They are! I've drifted from the world of science to the universe of fiction writing. So happy, happy, joy, joy! I'm gonna try to hang out more moving forward. Can't spend *all* my time on Twitter. lol That sounds great! If you ever feel like sharing your writings, you know you have an audience, here.

I think my brain has turned into mush. I went up to SW VA for orientation today. Great facilities, beautiful area. Gorgeous drive. Totally exhausted, and turned into a blithering idiot by the end of PALS testing this evening. Now back to mainlining kaplan review vids.

(greetings from this week in May 2009) Welcome to Part 1129 of the Soulful Spike Society Main Thread. Strap in!
Feeling lost? A few directions, then: Spoilers should go in the Spoiled Souls; if you want to talk on the main thread about a show just aired or casting news, etc, just highlight what you've written click the ghost-y looking button above the message area...
Want to talk politics or religion or other "controversial" subjects? Fear not! We've got the Open Topics Thread for you!
So, put on your life jackets! We're leaving the shore!
Now this demotivator poster really speaks to me. Wouldn't say fear, but yeah, I know what that's like.

Yuck.
Some days chemo doesn't seem to hit me all that hard but I'm following a bit of the same track as last month on Tuesday. Less nausea but a 100 degree fever and so just felt crappish all day.
I mean, not nearly so bad as chemo might be but still nothing like the normal of last week. Not getting much of anything done. Jim made himself cereal for dinner, bless him.
