I bought bread with lots lots lots of poppy seeds on top and now I'm eating it. I win at today and it's only 0235.

Blergh.
An hour on the phone with Vandy accounting. Somebody forgot to enter what Blue Cross paid before they sent my last bill so it in no way matched the EOB (Explanation of Benefits) from the insurance company as to what I should be paying. They'll work it out but I used a technique I've learned well from Comcast.
If the first phone rep you get just doesn't seem to "get it" -- call back later and try someone else. Fortunately I got someone who understood on the second call. Still took an hour overall.
Second minor snafu of the day is that I received the contract from the retreat center we are planning of using for next year's women's retreat. They have a strict "no alcohol" policy. Not sure how that is going to go over as a lot of the women who attend love to sit around after sessions on Friday night with a glass of wine.
It would be sad if advertising "no alcohol" was a deal breaker for some of them attending but I'm not comfortable leaving it unsaid as otherwise I know people will bring wine. (One of the women on the board makes her own.)

No one died, no one got eaten so pretty much win-win. And, on the up side of life (along with poppyseed bread) there is the whole line of Sherwin-Williams paint chips commercials which make me happy any time I see them. For those of you who don't watch as much daytime TV as I do where it runs in the background so I actually see the commercials here is a sampling: (each is only 30 seconds. The top one is the first one I saw and still my favorite as I think it is the most detailed.)

First, check out Google's home page today. Second, have fun running your indicator arrow over the strings. If you want to get really fancy, click the square box with the red circle on the lower right of the image--it should say "recording." Type rrty ryt rrty eq rrtyuytr eqwerr to play Yankee Doodle Dandy (the spaces are where you pause a sec; letters in a string should be typed one right after the other) Type tuio tuio tuioutuy uuyttuooi iuioutyt to play When the Saints Go Marching in Type c h kjh pl m n ijb uc to play the Harry Potter theme There are others to be found if you Google "Google guitar app." People loved this Doodle so much, they have kept it on for one more day!

So, just saw a notice on Facebook regarding my 20th high school reunion. Which makes me feel more aged than I think is fair. Anyone want to lay bets on the chance that I'd actually go? (Psst: It's a sucker's bet.)

So, just saw a notice on Facebook regarding my 20th high school reunion. Which makes me feel more aged than I think is fair. Anyone want to lay bets on the chance that I'd actually go? (Psst: It's a sucker's bet.) I don't know what you're complaining about. My high school graduating class just had its 45th! Today I: - Checked all backed up mail and updated it.
- Worked up a case for hearing
- Sent notices to all the claimants, attorneys and experts for a July docket
- made sure a paper file was copied and sent to a technical witness
- answered innumerable inane questions posed to me by management and
- printed and enhanced the June Birthday Board.
And it isn't even 2:30 yet. [* bitterness on*]So much for being a lazy, overpaid and pampered Government employee (Everyone here does know that Congress is cutting our pay by 5% and reducing our health insurance, right?) [* bitterness off*]I'm tired. Oh, and the Bobthing is coming over this evening. Fun may be had. If I can stay awake. Which is doubtful 'cause he's comfy.
