The Lionel Richie poster is hilarious!! I love that whoever made it took the time to print the lyrics of the song and make the little rip off tabs at the bottom.

As dumb a premise as it seems, the promos for SMG's The Ringer have sparked my interest.

While we're posting funnies, may I add this one (from cracked.com's weekly photoplasty contest; this one was about the inboxes of famous villians:

As dumb a premise as it seems, the promos for SMG's The Ringer have sparked my interest. I am confused by the premise - she pretends to be her twin because she's wanted by . . . some bad guys or the law or something, but then finds her twin is also "wanted" in some way? I confess I didn't read closely because it already sounded like "you're gonna have to watch it to understand." And if it makes it to the line-up, I plan to watch it, at least for awhile. My immediate thoughts were - so, what's the twin doing? Is SMG playing dual roles, or is the twin dead or missing or otherwise always off camera? And . . . why the "both turn out to be wanted" thing? It makes me think of that Bette Davis movie where she takes on her twin's identity, and finds out the deception is quite costly. I can remember no details, not even the name of the movie . . . but I remember she thinks she's stepping into a better situation, but of course, oh what a tangled web she weaves. Karl Maulden is in it, too, I think.

Love the funnies, today. And: Spent yesterday in meeting after meeting at work, then the evening preparing approx 75 meatballs in red sauce for a potluck here at work. One of our techies has returned from a year in Afganistan, so he is getting a party. I can't help but wonder what this adjustment period is like for him. He seems well.

Also, speaking of SMG on the CW: HEE! Julia, hey, I'll watch it, what can I say?

ALL'S RIGHT IN THE WORLD.I'm psyched! I read somewhere that she'll be playing both twin's roles. Should be a fun ride. She does that sort of thing soooo well.

2 girls flying in from different airports on different airlines.
C is an hour late. Says plane was a bit delayed arriving but delayed another 30 min because they "couldn't" get wheelchair passengers off.
Allie's airline emailed me hours ago -- a 90 minute delay due to "maintainance on a previous flight" -- thank heavens her friends are picking her up.
Jim and I have already established that when we fly to Denver at the end of June I'm going to pay the extra $10 to get early seating so I can get an aisle seat near the front.
Meanwhile, he will head to a window seat near the back, because --- that's what he always does when he travels.
Sometimes it is NOT compromising but just doing your own thing that keeps marriages happy. We'll be together 72 hours in Denver and he'll work the whole way on the plane. Why sit together (either with one of us in a middle seat or with a stranger between us) rather than getting the seats we each prefer.
============
Wow! It was a loooooooooong week. At least we are only on page 4. If the weekend stays quiet I'll try to catch up on everything on Tuesday (Allie is staying through Monday) or Wed (Jim flies to Salt Lake and drives to Pocatello, ID)

Random: Sinbad and the Minotaur on SyFy tonight. ;D I hope the advertising company that dreamed up the "Imported from Detroit" campaign for Chrysler wins lots of awards. I've seen 3 in that series now and I think they are all top-notch. JUlia -- I think your last post needs some minor editing. Allie and Jim at church event all day. Carolyn and I are probably going shopping and I have a week's worth of paperwork and emails to catch up on -- so, the usual.
