Ugh. Dogs, roosters, traffic, cats, and somewhere in there my husband whacked me across the kidneys with his elbow. Starting around 6:30. Did find a position which didn't hurt but never got to see if it worked for sleeping given the above factors.
And I basically have until 3pm today to do most of the weeks shopping.
Julia, that'll be fun, all half asleep like this.

I'm in Cheyenne, staying with my relatives. And they have wi-fi, wee! Hoping I can also get all my residency papers squared away while I'm in town, so I can officially become a Wyoming resident.

Hi!
Still pregnant. Barely. 39 weeks. Due, according to doctors, on Thursday...according to my own measurements, next Saturday. But, you know, just waiting.
House...purchased, moved in to, fumigated, BURGLARIZED during fumigation...but all is well, now.
Class...taught. They'll pay me the big pile of money you get for teaching in the summer in September, which will be nice.
I also developed three courses for a grant proposal and got my retention dossier together in the past few weeks. Now I'm...just maintaining my lab and students and waiting for baby Zachary to finally decide to come out. While hoping he's still head-down - he moved in a really dramatic and painful-to-the-ribcage way last night after Doctor Who. But it doesn't feel like his head's in the ribcage this morning, so I think it's fine. He just tried to use his butt to get more space, I think.
How's everyS'cubie else? What gigantic life-changes have I missed?

So, is the woman in question from Ellensburg, or a student at CWU? (Only reasons I can come up with for moving to Ellensburg...that, and the job I applied for at CWU and fortunately didn't get two years ago.) At least the baby can come without seriously impacting my career at this point. The last few weeks were really, REALLY hectic. But, hey, think what people will say about me when I come up for tenure. "You KNOW she managed to teach a summer session in genetics AND develop three upper-division courses when she was nine months pregnant, right?"

What gigantic life-changes have I missed? Hi Rachael! Can't wait for pics for new baby and big sister. Hectic, hectic, hectic life you all lead (for about 2 more decades, minimum). Tom is also engaged. Wedding is April 21 in Chicago. Rumor has it he is also becoming restless in his job (which, after 4 years is a good thing). He hasn't told us that but maybe after they have the wedding and get moved in to a new place he will decide whether to job hunt in Chicago or head back to school. And Allie is living back here again (well, between trips) and still hunting for permanent employment -- 2 years after graduation.

She's a friend from work who is just starting at CWU (she's got about three years and a quarter left to finish her BA). There are advantages to having organizational super powers, and you have them! Julia, opposite of me, boy howdy.

Julia, opposite of me, boy howdy. Maybe, but I nearly had three nervous breakdowns in the process, nonetheless. I was *this* close to figuring out what my actual limits were. I think I got close enough to know, and never, ever go back.

What gigantic life-changes have I missed? ... heard Doctor Who, got grumpy at missing it? Fan baby! I am fine. I got older. I wrote quite a lot of a book. College starts again soon. It will be nice when they tell me when and where to turn up and stuff. Changes, not so many.
