I'm so proud of myself. I just upped my RAM from 1G to 4G. Went to the store and bought the RAM bits myself. Kinda sounds dirty, don't it? ;D LOL...well, of course - it's obvious to me.

Three turkey day invites. Going to grandddaughter's house to welcome grandson back to the civilian world. Going to Bob's kids house for RSw/P and then to his sort-of-adopted kids' for dessert and much schmoozage. What's everyone else's plans? Sounds fun. Having people over, the girls will be with me of T-day, so I am happy about that. Lots of work to do today! LOTS! I have to the littler sis to school here in a second - then I unfortunately have a working 2 hr lunch to go to . . . then I have to bust my butt the rest of the day to get ready for T-day. But I think T-day will be fun. If I get enough time, I'm going to rewatch Pangs! What was your fave part of Pangs? I love so many of the scenes. Oh, I was thinking of Pangs this morning! BUFFY: Your knife can kill you.
(Hus turns into a large bear.)
BUFFY: A bear!
SPIKE: You made a bear!
BUFFY: I didn't mean to.
SPIKE: Undo it! Undo it!I am sure this scene has some metaphoric meaning regarding the story/season/series as a whole, not to mention relationships between characters within the story (and what the heck - throw some meta meaning in there, too for fun). And I am sure you have most likely written about it. Mostly I am absolutely sure I don't have the time to suss it out.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Love you all.

I miss the old days. Anyway, I'll be going up to Nick's. Last year I stayed home, and the boys spent Thanksgiving with their dad and his family, and I ended up at my sister's and had a quiet Thanksgiving. Mom wasn't feeling well and stayed in. We'll all get together for dinner at my place next Sunday.

Dang the uninitiated masses and the profit-driven television programming!

ANYA: To commemorate a past event, you kill and eat an animal. It's a ritual sacrifice, with pie. WILLOW: Buffy, earlier you agreed with me about Thanksgiving. It's a sham. It's all about death. BUFFY: It is a sham, but it's a sham with yams. It's a yam sham. SPIKE: I'm saying that Spike had a little trip to the vet and now he doesn't chase the other puppies anymore. I can't bite anything. I can't even hit people. BUFFY: So you haven't murdered anybody lately? Let's be best pals. SPIKE: I came to you in friendship. (Buffy gives him a look.)SPIKE: Well, all right, seething hatred, but I've got useful information, and I feel I'm being mistreated. And, of course, everyone's all-time favorite classic: SPIKE: A bear! You made a bear! BUFFY: I didn't mean to. SPIKE: Undo it! Undo it!

Tom and Sarah, and Carolyn are all driving in from Chicago together today. I've got a 24 pound turkey for tomorrow (we like leftovers and soup).
Jim has to sleep with the homeless Saturday night. Carolyn flies back Sunday. Tom will go into local office on Monday and he and Sarah will drive back on Tuesday.
They are giving us a long weekend because he is staying in Chicago with her family for Christmas.
Although he's going to be here Dec. 13-22. Sadly, we will be gone to nephew's wedding in NYC the one weekend of that span. He was invited so he knew about it. So he'll be home alone in Nashville!
Allison is walking around hating marriage because it will result in changes.

Mom and I are going to my cousin's house, as usual. Poor Zak. He has to stay in his cage during the festivities. Ever since he had his surgery (what an ordeal, I'll talk about someday) he gets excited and pees everywhere. Her husband would have a hairy cow if Zak peed in the house. It's okay. We bought him a "Thundershirt" so he should be calmer. Believe it or not, it actually seems to work.

We have 'em. Not an option with Mr. Stubbornpants. He can't walk and does everything he can to get out of them. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Did you know that there are chicken and duck diapers, both washable and disposable, for people who want to keep house-poultry? Yeah, me neither. HOWEVER: what I am truly thankful for this year is that Sam and I finished the "will keep chickens in" part of the chicken coop and run, and tonight Ian and Sylvia are in their new abode. Julia, finally, my goodness, finally

This year I give thanks for all the good things in my life, friends and family. but I also give thanks for some of the other things in my life. I give thanks for the pain I feel daily because it means that I am alive to feel that pain when so many loved ones are no longer here. I give thanks for ache of separation from those I love, because it reminds me that I have people who love me and that I love. I am thankful for all my bills, because it reminds me that we can afford those bills now and that I don't have to worry about having a roof over my head or electric to light the dark nights. I am grateful for the dirty dishes that will be in my sink today because it reminds me that I have food on the table while there are so many out there who don't have even that.
I just can't bring myself to be thankful that I will have to wash them all! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I give thanks for my children, my grandchildren, my soon-to-be great-grandchild. I am thankful to have employment and a home. This year I give special thanks for the addition of Bob to my life and to my family.

Happy Thanksgiving!
When Sam calls safe from E'Burg then I will be most thankful indeed.
Julia, right now it's nail-bitingly awful on the pass

Thankful I found all of you, I am. Ask me again when RSWP Friday is over, and I survey the field of battle and number the slain and injured. Right now I'm trying to enjoy the calm before the storm, although Shadow is making it difficult - she knows Something Is Not Right. No, cat, you cannot go out yet, it's not light enough and the coyotes are still on the prowl. PS Latest Aged Mum update is that BiL will be picking her and caregiver up around 11AM. Ratbag may not be attending (oh, please let it be so) because she's back on her up all night watch cable play on the internet sleep all day schedule. That woman needs a life. Perhaps she'd like to try mine for a while?
