A good friend of mine had an article written about him in the New York Times. I put the link, and more about it, in the Admin thread. Amazing story! Interestingly, I had bookmarked that link the other day to read, but hadn't gotten to it yet. I didn't even notice the location. I'll post a question on the Admin thread.

No, I like the chicken stories. Yup, me too. I guess I feel bad 'cause I've not been able to respond very much to posts, and then I come by with the big announcements and then leave again.

I guess I feel bad 'cause I've not been able to respond very much to posts, and then I come by with the big announcements and then leave again. Well, my philosophy is that I post here because I want to, not because I feel guilty if I don't. So if/when I want to post...I do. If/when I don't want to...I don't! ;D

I'm going to have to spend some time this evening sneaking up on the Hamburgs with WD-40; Maggi still needs her legs sprayed, (I've gotten Terre and Suzzy now) and I suspect the only way I can do it is by taking the west side of the roost weather protection apart and spraying with the long bit that goes on WD-40. At least it's not raining!
Otherwise: Franklin's home trying to figure out insurance before the end of the open period, and also because he's got the same cold that I'm finally getting over.
There's a looming case of Freaksom Impingement of International News: Anna and Bailey are meant to fly out of Heathrow on Wednesday, when a general strike is planned.
Boo, hiss.
Julia, Leverage last night was all sorts of foreboding y/n?

We can't have this kind of thinking.

I slayed usefuls today. Many, many usefuls. I had to recharge Mr Bolty. Twice. In other news, the Younger Daughter asked if she could eat dinner in the den so she could watch another episode of Fringe. Seeing as it's one of Elder Daughter's late days so we aren't all eating at the same time anyway, I said yes. Younger Daughter is on her second episode of the evening. ;D

It felt so good to boycott big box stores this weekend and cyber-Monday bargains. I did spend $22 at the Village Discount on Sunday and got a garbage bag size bag of really nice clothes for half off. Most expensive item was 2.50. The best bargain was a black 2-ply cashmere sweater for $1.75. Cuddly. 2-Broke Girls are shopping at the Goodwill. "Turn your back on the rack, you're under attack." LOL!

Hi.
Am back. Really and for true, this time. Maternity leave is over, and I have myself set up in my new lab space, with what feels like oodles of extra time to get stuff done right now.
And was just posting in a closed part, I think. One closed for a while, maybe....
