So, I didn't Match today. The Wyoming programs ended up rolling their Do Match into the MD one, so I have to wait until March to hear about residency. Oh boo. Suspense is the worst!

Corset parts have arrived. I am ready to bone, busk and grommet my way to a wasp waist. Purse parts are purchased. I'm ready to cut, fit, line and sew. Some purse parts are already cut out. I'm so creative right now. Change my name to Anne and turn me loose! You want my name? You can have it.

Looks like I won't be going to ComicCon again this year. Honestly, it's easier to immigrate to the U.S. than to get passes to this thing. I've been trying for years. First my Ex decided it was too dangerous for me to go--meaning I might meet another man there. Then life with Ian when we couldn't afford it, and then he got sick. Now it's gotten so big that their registration is like trying to understand the tax code. Diane *frustrated*

Me, I'm astounded that I get to the grocery store these days (especially since the one I preferred for mid-week after work trips has closed, just after the second-prefered one) (new Winco, preferred by flatland furriners, killed their business). I'm currently trying to supplement-feed a low-status cow, and was going to put her in the orchard, except I got out of bed and looked out the window and ALL the cows are in the orchard, dammit, so much for that idea. Julia,

Angela, a high school friend of mine, posted on Facebook, "Anyone for a Carnival cruise?" After a moment I responded, "Sure. I'm a Rennie. I'm used to conditions involving bad food, no air conditioning, dirt and lack of any sanitary hygene conditions." What's more, I can endure them while working a 13 hour day in August while dressed in velvet and wearing a corset! Rennie friends, what do you think?

Flowers and hardware ... petals and bolts ... pollen and sandpaper ... just hot glue it to your model and go!

I think I want to use both flower store stuff AND hardware store stuff, even tho they said we didn't need to use both. I think a cool, severe, tailored suit - slim pencil skirt made from screen-door mesh with peat moss packed on. Then a blouse of woven vines sparkled up with small shiny brad nails. And a smart, bolero jacket made from large palm fronds, sewn together with bailing wire. ;D

I like Keepin it Real's wacky flower stuff, but Dream Team's stuff is very elegant. First two outfits are stunning. Dream Team is just more sophisticated, to me. They actually are pulling off Dior.
