No designing project? Awwww. I fully intend to toss out design ideas, even if they don't get realized by the magic of Spring! ;D

Well, we don't have a base look to start from so, maybe we can take one of her previous ones and play with a companion piece?

Well, we don't have a base look to start from so, maybe we can take one of her previous ones and play with a companion piece? That would be a cool idea. Which one do we want to pick? I think I'm also going to toss out ideas for a companion outfit to what I'm wearing right now. (Which is a T-shirt - black w/a New Orleans logo, and ratty plaid cotton men's sleep shorts.) ;D

I like it. We can each do our own outfits since we can't see each others. I'm wearing a printed T shirt, bootflare jeans and bare feet. I have no graphics so you'll have to make do with my outstanding descriptive skills. Ok?
I've got mad skilz!

Lessee, the T is a very soft knit. It's ivory colored and the lacy print on the front is black with some sparklies I added. The jeans are very old and on their last legs so I'm going with the shrit.
Starting with the Tshirt shape. It's got a V neck so we'll plunge that. Also, lengthening the shirt to mid thigh mini skirt length.
Thinkage proceeding.

How're you doing, Lola? I have no graphics to work with. How are you doing yours?

I'm loosening the fit of the Tshirt into a soft drape. I'm going to use an ivory matierial and put the black lace over the bust, the right shoulder and the left hip. Small, black crystals scattered over the black lace.
Short, not cap, sleeves.

OK - this is my first thought for a companion outfit.
The ratty sleep shorts are a dark blue/green/white plaid, so I think I'll play off of that and use accents of black (to mirror the T-shirt). Since my current outfit is shorts and shirt, I think I'm gonna go with a tailored (to mirror the menswear aspect of my current outfit) trenchcoat dress. in the exact same colors and size of plaid, only very very pale (like if these colors had been almost entirely washed out) and of a very very crisp sharp heavy cotton. (To contrast the soft cotton of the shorts.)
And I'll accent the trenchcoat with black leather buttons and belt.
Oooooh!! And to bring the "New Orleans" vibe, I'm gonna wear a very cool bright red large bead necklace (one strand - dramatic!) so there's a very subtle Mardi Gras allusion.

Dang, it's gonna be hard to comment on each of the outfits - there's sooooo many designers at the start!

Ven - Very pretty and elegant.
Beatrice - Simple, comfy, clean.
Lantie - First is pretty, but clunky, Second look is not good.
Andrea - Interesting, architectural, unusual, modern.
Christopher - A bit too minple, perhaps, but the long dress is very pretty.
Alicia - fierce, modern, edgy-cool.
Elena - I actually loe the boxy hip thing and the silhouette, but the shoulder don't grab me.
Buffi - I love her colors, but the cut/shape is trashy.
Dmitry - Pretty, elegant, but sort of expected.
Kooan - I like the first one, very Tokyo-pop. Second was a bit design-school.
Gunnar - Not the best cut/design on the first one (the black line is unfortunately placed) - Second outfit is rather nice.
Nathan - Pretty, flowy, I like the colors.
Sonjia - Love the jacket and pant first outfit - fierce! The second, not as much.
Melissa - Simple, classic with an edge.
Raul - First suit is a bit too "office", but the dress is very fun!
Fabio - Like the colors and thought behind his sutff, but I'm not sold on all the construction.
Time to post before I hear what the judges say.

How about strappy sandals and black leather mesh gloves!! Ooooooh!!
