Yo! to all. Since we seem to all come by at different times let me see if I can recall who I've seen around lately: Hi to: Anne Julia Diane angelique rich Spring Lola Karen be Erin Sara Michelle Occassionally Onjel infrequently Lefty anybody else in recent memory? [This is VERY risky business as I live in fear of leaving someone out but blame my 60 year old memory.] Anybody know what's up with Monnie, Rachel, Shan, Vlad, Matthew and others? I heard from Laura Long.... just yesterday. She sent me a link to a NYT article with a quote from "Rev K.....r" -- on chastity in NYC (starting with Mr. Tebow). But the quote wasn't from my BIL but rather his son, my nephew, also a Rev. K ....r. Tonight starts the weekly choir rehearsals so Jim is now out one night a week. Allie and Andrew still trying to decide WHERE the wedding will be. I (quietly) pulling for Nashville but since all her relatives will have to travel anyway I can see the argument for NYC where they now live and go to church and ALL of the scores of Andrew's relatives already are in situ. However, if they decide on NYC I sort of hope they change the target date of Dec. 29. Carolyn and Tom and Sarah (and Allie) were all supposed to be here for Christmas and I honestly don't fancy another Christmas season wedding in NYC. On the other hand if they do it in New York my work will be minimal outside of travel. If they have it here a LOT of stuff will fall to me. Big party this weekend for Tom and Sarah -- about 50 (we billed it as an Open House from 5 to 9 hoping that not everyone will be here at the same time). Next week is Jim's 60th. Then Labor Day, then a trip to Chicago to the VU/NU football game, back on the 14th, port put in on the 15th and chemo starts on the 17th. Fun times! And I still need to buy a car. (A NYC wedding is beginning to sound better.) Printed out the futoncritic fall TV guide and need to look it over. Still catching up on July/August viewing. Anybody watch Political Animals with Sigourney Weaver on USA? And what about Copper? when does Dr. Who come back? I am enjoying Politcal Animals. It is so very well acted. I've seen Shan and Rachael on FB. Seems everything is going well with them. Kids doing fine. Etc. I see Pixi, Monnie, Lola, Michelle and Sara on a regular basis on Twitter. Much love for the Supernatural actors and Sara and I had fun getting scared watching Paranormal Witness *I think it was. one of the ghosty programs, anyway. Pixi's script writing is doing very well. She had a nasty rollerblading spill a bit ago. Big scrape on her shoulder. IO see Matthew on FB once and a while. Also, Cal. I miss our Buffy family antics! But at least we had 'em. I am soooooooooooooooooooooo ready for the election to be over. #xfingers all goes well with no crazyness from the crazies.

Hiya S'cubes. Montpelier Police Log: Baseball cap is lost, but umbrella is found
Aug. 15 A vehicle was driving in and out of driveways on Deerfield Drive. Someone reported losing a navy blue baseball cap on Main Street. A man was yelling across from City Hall. Aug. 16 Someone found a black umbrella in the road at the intersection of Terrace Street and Bailey Avenue. A man was walking around wearing a gas mask and carrying a satchel on Stone Cutters Way. On Main Street, a man was asking pedestrians for money. Aug. 17 Someone thought they had a rabid skunk in their yard on Foster Street. On Green Mountain Drive, a dog was sitting in a puddle and appeared lost. Aug. 18 On Taylor Street, a truck lost its wheel. Central Vermont, oh how I miss you! I think I love the puddle dog the very best ... ;D

Anybody watch Political Animals with Sigourney Weaver on USA? And what about Copper? when does Dr. Who come back? Monnie's on her way to Vancouver for a Supernatural convention. Rachel and Shan occasionally comment on Facebook, mostly about stuff they couldn't discuss here on the main board anyway. And on this blog, the 5th paragraph states: In Biological Sciences, Drs. Julio Soto, Miri van Hoven, and Rachael French recently received word that their proposal to procure a Confocal Microscope for SJSU was funded by the National Science Foundation’s Major Research Instrument program. Confocal microscopes allow researchers to extract digitally sliced images from intact cells and have a variety of biological, chemical, and biotechnological applications. So between writing the proposal and the two kids, she's been pretty busy of late. Excellent news about the funding! Pass along my congrats to her!

Cannot do PR - may be able to stop in toward the end. Roxanne hurt her foot today, involved x-rays and more, and I have to help her get showered and bed . . . .

Head East was in town a few weeks ago at our Riverfest celebration - free to all. I got some autographs on a shirt and coozie. They were true rockin' dudes. Fun night!

OK, what's our challenge?
Ooooh, it's the "real people" challenge! I love these!
So, should we pick some random "real person" or should we each design something for ourselves? I mean, we're "real people" too, right?

Haven't been to any concerts real lately, but the new season should be starting up soon! Lindsey Buckingham?!! OMG, that would be so awesome! I LOVE him!

Ven is already winning the asshole prize & Gunnar turns out to be a sweetie . . . whodda thunk it?
I think I'm gonna design something for "real person" me!
Let's see .... I think I want a totally rockin' pants suit. Some kind of almost retro '70's flare leg - but jazzed up for the new century - black, but with a bit of subtle sparkle, very tailored and with an almost 1700's jacket (wasp waist, long tails) low cut-ish with no blouse underneath!
And then bright red shoes!!
