That's a great question, Onjel! I didn't realize the feet were floating down. I don't have the comic with me right now, but to me, it looked like a giant standing next to the building. My thought was that someone other than Dawn had been cursed by the thricewise. The figure gave off a very Spike and/or Angel vibe though, so I don't know. And Jeff! You summarized the questions I had very nicely. I do think the 5X5 comment by Xander is a definite clue. I wonder if a Faith/Xander/Renee triangle is being set up? Xander has always been a little uneasy about commitment. I love the fact that he's a quasi Watcher!! He was on that path in Season 4, and now that Anya has died, it would make sense that he might consider it again. Well, it might be a giant, but I think they're hovering above the building. The heels of the feet are not on the ground. And they do give off a Spike/Angel vibe, or Andrew in his coat. That long black coat and boots! Very mysterious!

I'm also curious about the glowing ball of energy that Amy was holding on the last page. And earlier in the book, when Xander is in the control room or whatever, two Slayers were sitting cross-legged between a glowing ball of energy. That seems to indicate that some of the Slayers are also witches---which is quite a twofer!

The energy ball, the person/thing she was found with, what happened that caused her to be trapped in the SunnyD crater, etc.! And I find your thought about Slayer!witches very intriguing. I was wondering if the women in the Watcher headquarter were slayers or "just" witches or perhaps some other kind of mystics of some kind. They almost made me think of how W&H had mind readers and psychics and so forth on the payroll.

Or are they the psychics and also, slayer/wiccas who willa? ;D Brainshare with Onjel. ;D I assumed they were psychics, one of the lines from Xander was something like. Our psychics show there are more in the nest than we originally thought. I know it was on that same page. So I assumed they were the psychics. Which I found very interesting as well. I am really looking foward to the next issue. Does anyone know when it is coming out exactly?

First thoughts, before I read anyone else's. * I can tell I'm going to both love the comics and be driven crazy waiting for each new issue. ;D Oh, no kidding! But 50 comics! Whoa. Think of the stories. I'm hoping all the buzz leads Joss and some of the crew back to the small screen. The fact that they sound so much like them really helps! I'm really interested in seeing in what ways the characters will develop now that Joss is away from the influence the actors had on how he saw the characters and their story. Loved that scene! They are so comfortable together. *snort* But how do they feed her?

Okay. So, the "five by five" comment by Xander implies Faith influence of some kind. Makes sense, since she was right in there in the final fight. Romance, maybe? I don't see it, after the incident in "The Zeppo" and Xander's comment that Anya's approach was still more romantic than Faith's. So, I'm leaning toward a relationship between Xander and Renee, whose nerd points are accumulating impressively. I mean, did you see the look on his face when they were talking about Sargent Fury? Thoughts, speculations? Anything? I finally got mine! Kinda got the impression that Faith and Xander mended their fences during Season 7. As to what (not who) could be Amy's "boyfriend"...I can't begin to speculate. I do think that Amy probably had about as much luck with boyfriends as Harmony. Love having something of Buffy again, but the comic book format is just too small. I read it in about 10 minutes. It's like having one segment of an episode (between commercials) per month. I don't think I like Giant(!) Dawn. Except for laughs. She's kinda like Poseable Dawn, courtesy of Gnarl. But complaints aside it's still better than no Buffy. Which you already knew.

Now I'm picturing a giant posable Dawn. ;D I liked the snark between her and Buffy. **nods nods nods* My second one has shipped, according to the email I got! **bounces**

I love talking Buffy! The first thing I thought when Xander said 'Five by Five' is that he had spent a lot of time hanging with Faith. Good question about the other slayers. In training somewhere else, maybe? That's a lot of girls to keep track of. I want to know what happened in Orvieto with Andrew and his '10 best dressed slayers'. (Interesting tidbit about Orvieto is the secret tunnels and labyrinths beneath it.) And what does the symbol mean? ETA: Did you all notice the nod to Serenity on Buffy's t-shirt here: Or this one on the alternative cover to Buffy S8.1? Vlad
