Yes...perhaps looking would have helped me. We sure are hoping it will be back up soon . . . check back in a week or so; if it's not back up, I'll probably come up with an alternative way to share the reviews. They could be posted on the corresponding Spikecentricity threads. . ..

Just stopping by to say that I got the drain out of my neck and the test results came back good - no cancer. Inflammation of the thyroid, yes, but no cancer at all, so I get to keep the other half of my thyroid. *refills basket of brackets, staggers back to nap corner and curls up with tiger* Good news, Anne!

Agents of SHIELD is back this week, but not in Britain. Channel 4 has for some reason decided to be further behind now. I guess they didn't like all the week long gaps; British TV doesn't do that and they lost viewers. Like, half the viewers are gone since the first episode. Not awesome. So now I am waaaaaaaiting to see what happened to Coulson. I know the internet could provide, but my computer prefers a text based internet. I guess I should get the big computer to behave. I'd still rather just wait and get it legally on the TV, but the TV channels are not cooperating with my good behaviour. And now I've got to avoid spoilers for rather longer, which wasn't working perfectly even Tuesday to Friday. Annoyance. On the other hand, it's still only Coulson I'm watching for. So it kind of needs to up its game. Which is sad, cause I was really trying to like it. Most TV is not available on the actual TV box. If I got Sky TV I'd have a ton more channels and some of the shows people actually talk about, but also have to pay every month, and on the whole I can live without. I think I still end up paying it on DVD box sets, but since I likely would do either way, this is thriftier. Lots of the world watches on download now though. It's kind of weird watching tech trends pass me by. I'd kind of like it if the old ways just continue working.Yep, right there with ya, scooter.
Nice to hear from you be. I haven't been watching Agents of Shield - have been lucky to get two seconds in a row to myself, lately. But today, for the first day in two and a half weeks, all three girls are in school, and I have a short breather, here.
But must be off to doc appt, and then to store to prepare for 14 yr old's birthday dinner this evening.
Am hoping to get a little more back to normal next week - the holidays and a new foster child (youngest sis of the two I already have) totally consumed me.
Good luck to ya, Spring! Hang in there with your girls! :-)

I just read your piece - I haven't seen Cabin, but Paul has, and he's told me about it. At great length, and detail, and frequently. I think he enjoyed it. So I'm familiar enough with the film to get your references. Anyway, excellent analysis, well-written, lots to think about, and congratulations on being published. I hope it's just the first step to bigger and better things, because you are an awesome writer.

You are very kind; thank you for reading it, and I hope you're right about the future! It's kind of a cool moment for me, 'cause one of the reasons I went to grad school and majored in media studies is because I would often spend my lunch hour (or other hours when I should have been working) reading articles in Slayage, so to see my name there is kind of like...whoa. Sending you big hugs, as always.

I messaged Vlad early this week, but I haven't gotten any response. All I know is that it was nothing we did; the site was paid up, so it's something Yahoo did. It just requires phone time that is at a premium with his work hours.

Dear God, it is COLD here!!!
We are having one rough winter.
Downstairs toilet froze (i.e., once you flushed it, water would not re-enter the tank), but I finally got that going again. Last week, the cold water in the kitchen sink froze.
Rock salt and space heaters have become very hard to find. Kroger's didn't get their shipment of frozen vegetables because of weather delays, but they did have amazing fresh fruit - lovely cherries and strawberries, and it's below zero outside. So I can't complain.
The girls have had endless "snow days," so many that they going to have to do make-up days at the end of the school year.
And they are eating me out of house and home. They usually eat both breakfast and lunch and school . . . having them home all day, day after day, I am really learning how much they can put away!
Expecting more sub-zero temps next week.
Onjel and Lola must be popsicles by now.
BRRRRRRR!

Thank you! I enjoyed writing this one (which isn't always the case) so I'm glad it was enjoyable to read as well! The editing job is OK. I invoiced for my first batch, but haven't gotten anything this week, which is a bummer. Still, it'll be nice to have a paycheck coming...
