Shadowlass has a character sketch featuring Principal Snyder, "The View from the Top," in which Snyder reviews his situation prior to the arrival of the inspection squad from the State Committee for Excellence in Education, an award Snyder is determined to win. No plot but lots of Snyder snark, misanthropy, and paranoia. No pairing. www.angelfire.com/cantina/shadowlass/view.html

I hope I'm not stepping on any toes, but I'm on a mission to publicize.... On May 3rd, 2005, the ladies of Tea at the Ford bring you Three Deep, an AtS-BtVS virtual crossover season! www.teaattheford.net/virtual/The Fang Gang and the Scoobies meet and mingle in twenty-two episodes of stirring adventure and clashing emotion. They boldly span the globe and go where no hero has gone before. All your questions answered, dangling plot threads neatly knitted in. Not a Jossverse character that is not mentioned at least once, buried with glee or resurrected with love. It's a collaboration by a wonderful collection of writers, plotters, editors, vidders, graphic artists and set designers. What's it gonna be about? Everything. We're thinking big. World-threatening menaces. Ancient ruins. Slayer history. Shopping expeditions. A cast of thousands, complex, nuanced and changing inter-relationships, budget-busting locations, cosmic concepts and some incredibly talented writers to take you on one hell of a trip. There's love, blood, and rhetoric (the blood is compusory). We know where it's going, but there's plenty of room for surprises along the way. It's a sprawling story with all kinds of layers--like an onion! (Or maybe a parfait.) Ships, you ask? Is this het or slash, B/A or B/S or S/A or A/W or...? Yes and no, all and none of the above. There's relationships aplenty: friendships, family, love, hate, passion, desire, eros, agape and philias. We don't want to pin the story down by saying it's 'about' one particular ship, because it ain't--there's a dozen characters here with all kinds of history, and we want to play with all of it. But will there be hope and heartbreak and true love and scary obsession? You bet your sweet bippy. So come on along. You know you want to. > Season Credits: Construction & site/set design: vrya Set decoration: Cyn Camera & lighting: diane Showrunner & line producer: macha Head cheerleader: dutchbuffy Original challenge: Plin Series title: alcibiades Storyboard: Barb C Episode breakage: Barb C, dutchbuffy, Sylvia Story editors: Barb C, macha, Pip, & Dori Continuity editor: Dori Brainstorming: alcibiades, alira, Barb C, Cyn, Dori, dutchbuffy, Kalima, Klytaimnestra, Lesley, macha, Pip, Plin, Sylvia Writing: alira, Barb C, Cyn, Dori, dutchbuffy, Kalima, Klytaimnestra, macha, Sylvia Publicly relating: Plin Promos: diane, Pip, Plin Mistress of the lj portal: Plin With gratitude to Joss Whedon, whose play it is, for giving us twelve seasons of story to love.

Rubywisp doesn't write nearly enough, what with that whole reality gig she's got going, but today she has a rare and special piece of post NFA Gen, with Xander trying to do the right thing, and running into an unexpected stranger. "The Borken Chain of Being," PG: www.livejournal.com/users/rubywisp/415868.html?view=3820412Julia, really needs to be the start of a longer fic

Lots of stuff read this morning, including new fics by NWHepcat and Tabaqui, for the Friendship Ficathon and the Yinathon, respectively, but this is from a writer I hadn't read before- Deadsoul- and a friendship I wouldn't have believed anyone could make credible: Darla and Spike. And, typically, I've forgotten the title. It has a title, by the way, and links to two other fics which I will try to read later. Just after "Crush:" www.livejournal.com/users/deadsoul820/49341.html?#cutid1Julia, there's a name for aphasia for names and titles but I've forgotten that, too

Cass, LiveJournal name Calove, has a piece for Estephia's friendship ficathon that is simply wonderful. Spike/Dawn friendship in the summer after The Gift; funny and warm and tragic and bitter and tender. The Dealing Thing www.livejournal.com/users/calove/72644.html

I found this via a rec, and a link, in a LJ. It's "A Day in the Life of Puppet Angel"--everything from the brawl in the elevator with Spike up to Puppet Angel's meeting with Nina in her cage. Quite droll. The author is Michael Weaver. It's here.

This is another one of those fics I would have sworn I'd recommended ages ago (I think maybe it was written for the friendship ficathon). Willow and Faith, in an unusual setting, wherein Faith does the Sister Wendy thing from her own point of view, NWHepcat, "Annunciation": archive.shriftweb.org/archive/32/annunciation.htmlJulia, how could I have forgotten this?

A lovely little fic by Eurydice, written for the William Ficathon: Rendezvous When Giles retrieves the amulet from the collapsed Hellmouth, he encounters the last person he ever would have imagined - a young boy who looks remarkably like a now-dead vampire. Written for the William Ficathon. Set immediately post-Chosen. - Complete. Rated PG www.loveslastglimpse.com/rendezvous.htm

An excellent bit of AU writing that posits a different path for Angel's 5th season, focusing on one character in particular: The Girl in the High Castle
