That really bites, because there are some really choice ones in there. Patti and I are both raiding the same collection of wallpapers from darklabrynth.com/vamped/. You're invited to check them out there. I really don't understand how it is that we can see them (even the ones the other posted), but no one else can. That really does bite. Thanks for the link. I'll head over there and put them on my hard drive. Is anyone else not able to see them?

Thanks for the link. I'll head over there and put them on my hard drive. Is anyone else not able to see them? Nan said there were a couple she couldn't get, but apparently she could get some of them. Patti and I have cable modems; could be the higher bandwith allows for us to see more stuff, but that's only a guess. Those graphics we're posting are extremely high res, so that could be part of the problem.

Betsy, I now have a considerable collection of Spike photos. They're all from some website or other, naturally, but I've saved them to my hard drive. If for whatever reason you'd ever like me to zip them and send them to you for posting (so they could be linked to) I'd be glad to do it. But I assume you don't have your website so you can post Spike pictures on it, so I won't send them until/unless you ask/tell me to.

I can upload them to my server and make a little page and then post the link for all to see. Plus I can play with the pics on my graphics program and make things to post. my email addy is marinersgal69@msn.com Thanks for the offer.

Sorry I'm a little late posting this, but I just now took the time to read Spring's review, and yet again it is terrific. This isn't exactly a shock, of course; there is no such thing as an average Spring review. . . . This is also the episode which telegraphed Riley's inevitable issues with Buffy's power, and her justifiable discomfort with showing him everything she has . . . On a personal level, the saddest part of watching this particular episode is the terrific comic chemistry of Nick and James. Why would I be sad about that, you ask? In Season 7 I can't recall much more than a sentence or two between them when Buffy moved Spike in with Xander. Outside of that....nada. What a terrible waste of talent. Having said that, Spring has taught me yet another valuable lesson. Thank you. You're welcome. And thanks so much for posting some feedback. I definitely agree with all your thoughts on this, about Riley & Buffy never being able to acheive true, deep intimacy if she can't be "all she can be" around him . . . and ESPECIALLY about the waste of the Nick/James comic chemistry. Though given the storyline and the need to allow for spin-off possibilities and to wrap so much up in Season 7, I have to admit I can see why there couldn't be very much levity or interaction going on between the two of them. I wish we could have had a Season 8!! With all the major angsty stuff wrapped up, they could have gone back to having some fun. I haven't given up hope on seeing Xander again, possibly an AtS guestshot, or in a future spin-off. I know that Nick has sounded in interviews like it will never happen . . . but I am thinking it will be tempting for ME to stir up some extra interest by bringing in the Buffy cast now and then.

Betsy, I now have a considerable collection of Spike photos.
THANKS TO ALL for all the great pics posted. NAN - I like your suggestion for a possible "logo" pic for the website. ALEXANDRA - I've never seen James in Andromeda but had heard he looked great in it, so thanks for the visual confirmation! Also loved the "very James" shot. Couldn't see Dave's or Patti's pics. Just the red x. But don't stop trying! Love those pics. They just give me a real jump start in the morning.

I was at Wal-Mart last night and was cruising through the DVD section when what did I spy with my little eye? Buffy Season 4 DVD!!! Didn't think it was supposed to be released until next week but apparently Wal-Mart likes to get it out early. In my enthusiasm I bought the DVD, ran home, tore it open and started watching - and then I realized I had already pre-ordered it from Suncoast. Damn my impulsiveness! Anyway, I watched the Spike featurette (on disc 3) - check it out, it's great! JM looks so amazingly gorgeous - how can someone be that good-looking? Definitely check out the commentary by JW on "Restless" and the commentary by JW, Marti Noxon and Seth Green on "Wild at Heart" - I woke my roommate up, I was laughing so hard listening to those three. Their commentary is absolutely hysterical!! There seem to be more extras on this DVD than the other seasons. There are 5 featurettes on Disc 3 alone. Oh, also check out the Season 4 overview on Disc 6 - it's really long and not enough Spike but I still thought it was pretty good. Now, if only I can figure out what to do with my extra box set....

They seem to be following a pattern, so it will probably be Seaon 5 in January, Season 6 next June or July, and Season 7 the following January. Hopefully, they'll cut down on the time (since the DVD's are already produced in Region 2, it's a simple process to mass convert). Has anyone heard any news about the release of the remaining seasons on DVD? Mary

Lee, you just made me so damn jealous! WHY ARE THERE NO WALMARTS IN FREAKIN' NYC!!! Sorry James. Wasn't trying to make you jealous...or was I? Mwahahaha!!! (why am I such a dork?) Who knows? Maybe if Wal-Mart has it early, other stores do as well. I just wanted to let everyone know that the Season 4 DVD is definitely worth it. Hell, the commentary on "Wild at Heart" is worth the price alone. Guys, I cannot even begin to describe how funny it is. My roommate came barging into my room last night about 11pm, complaining that my "incredibly loud laughter because of that dumb show" woke her up. My response? Throwing a pillow at her. I swear, the way we act you would think we were 12! Man, I'm rambling again.... People who have pre-ordered the DVD and/or people who are planning on buying it - you won't be disappointed!

There's an insert in the Season 4 package that has a little blurb stating "look for season 5 in 2003" or something to that effect. However, there is a little asterik beside it and when you read the fine print, it says release date is subject to change.
My best guess would be season 5 will be released in December 2003/January 2004 - they seem to be on a 5-6 month cycle.
