Any pics you all chose to use in your profile, you can send to me and I'll upload them to my server and send you the URL. This can come in handy if you select a pic from a site that doesn't allow linking. You can email them to me at marinersgal69@msn.com. Also if you need the pic resized, if it's too big, I can do that too with my graphics program. Just let me know. Betsy, what graphics program do you use?

Welcome to OZ. And I don't mean the Emerald City. Seriously. Still like Faith's Bitch or Xand-man, or One-Eyed Jack or....never mind I'm babbling incoherently

The Season 4 DVD was waiting for me when I got home. You all who preordered and are waiting are going to be mad - but I didn't "pre-order" it until last Thurs. Maybe waiting until the last minute helps it come quicker? Doesn't put you on a long list with others who have pre-ordered, because the list has been closed or something? I don't know. But it's here. I hardly got a chance to see any of it, but I did find the "Spike, Me" interview with James and watched it. He looks very thin in the interview, like he filmed it during Season Six. He's in his Spike get up, which makes it extra strange to hear him talking and smiling and being James. He looked good, of course, so much so that I can't remember a word he said. I always have to watch James a couple of times before the words start to sink in. I got word today mine has been sent so I expect it'll be here soon. And Spring....that's a good excuse for re-watching James. Keep saying it til you believe it girl. ;D

Vlad I'm nowhere near the posting total for Marster S'cubie but I am the Founder and President of the Von Helsing Institute for the Study of Nosferology, home of Ebulgence and the innovative Vampires in the Mist program that earned Spring her first restraining order. We have some scary ladies on our faculty. So, if I get to pick a title I would like to be: Founder and President of the Von Helsing Institute for the Study of Nosferology and Wicked Scary Babe Extroidinaire. Is that too much? Rusty, it's Van Helsing. Not German: Dutch, I believe.

I noticed in Part 6 that you suggested I invite James to our non-reunion. I'm really not supposed to contact him, but I'll take a chance. What do you think? James: Please join the members of The Soulful Spike Society for our non-reunion party on [night before the event] at [my room]. Check out our website at www.scubiefan.com to learn all about us. Events will include Buffy-episode-title-charades, and scene re-enactments (be prepared to do your exercise scene from "Gone'). See you there! Spring Summers---------------------------------- RSVP as many times as you like by calling me anytime, day or night: [my home phone number, my work number, my cell phone]. BYOB (Bring Your Own Bod)

Wow. I get to choose a title for myself. This is indeed a daunting task. Some initial thoughts: 1. Master Zeppologist 2. Faith's Bitch (put a gold star next to this one) 3. He's Xanderrific!! 4. Marster Bater (this one just sounds wrong for me somehow) 5. Sack Viking 6. The First Layer I have to keep ruminating on this. Then I'll do some thinking about it. Then there are the ever popular "Demon Magnet," "Bug-Eating Man Bitch," and "He of the funny siphilis."

Boy you all were quite chatty this afternoon after I logged of when my lunch was done. I missed some great conversation. Mary said: On the non-erotic side, I've also given some thought to the nourishing effects of blood, and have, of course, a theory on it based on BtVS, but not Angel:
Spike was a great fighter. Well known for it. Once his diet was restricted to pig's blood, we saw his fighting skills decline. They soared again when fighting Wood - this was quite clearly the best fighting we've seen Spike do in years. And of course, it took place AFTER he'd done some feeding on humans again. Of course, Nan did a whole wonderful essay on Spike the Fighter which was much more deeply thought out. But when I watched LMPTM, that was one of the first things that came into my mind. Human blood=power. Theory only, mind you.Mary, after thinking about this topic this afternoon, I'm wondering if human blood can help in speeding up in the healing process of vamps also? Betsy, that's a premise I'm using in EME...and also used, after a fashion, in Old Blood, to the degree that Slayer blood is the most effective of all when it comes to the need for extreme healing in vampires. Per the series, Sire's blood is also effective in healing, but in a sacrificial, ritual way (per Dru and Angel) rather than ingested directly.

Well it does seem that the new board is in full operation, since there have been 17 pages of posts across two parts for me sort through since I logged off at 4 p.m. this afternoon. And I thought I talked a lot.
James, I have to let you know that I actually recognized Dwayne and Rerun from What's Happening, heck I even remember seeing a VH1 Where Are They Now on the actor who played Rerun and the guy is as skinny now as Roger was then. I wish I'd been logged in so you wouldn't feel as if you were talking to a bunch of cueballs that just don't get it. And BTW, I also know what an HNIC is, sort of along the lines of an HMFIC we sometimes bestow on people in the military (ours isn't race-linked, so we avoid that can of worms). Out of respect to more tender ears, I will not say what the letters stand for on the public channel -- if anyone is dying to know, PM me.
Patti, thanks for pointing out that Wesley is also on Angel, making Fred the second Angel castmember immortalized on our boards by someone on our boards. Yeah, Wesley was on Buffy once, but the pic and the quotes I chose are from his Angelic days.
On that note, I'm wanting to note that I'm really liking all the Buffy-related pics I'm seeing people use on their profiles. Not that I'm opposed to anyone using other pics, in fact, I sort of like the mix, but for a long time I think it was my pic of Wesley and a couple of Spike pics. Now we have Fred, Faith and Mr. Trick making it into the mix, all three some of my favorite Buffyverse characters; I also recall someone using Willow and Drusilla, but I haven't seem them in the posting in a bit so I'm not certain they haven't switched to something else. And with the creative quotes everyone is using, the board is taking on a very, very interesting flavor. I think stuff like that says a lot about us as individuals and also tells anyone visiting the board a lot about who the S'cubies are as a group.
Anyhow, still sorting through posts. I've got pretty much all of part 7 to get through before I'm caught up. But at least I'm finally on the same board as everyone else!

Then there are the ever popular "Demon Magnet," "Bug-Eating Man Bitch," and "He of the funny siphilis."
Not to mention "butt monkey." Wow Rob. There are so many possibilities! I usually identify with Buffy, so what does that mean for me? Any ideas? There's 1) A stuck-up tight ass with no sense of fun 2) Joan 3) Ungrateful bitch 4) "B" 5) The Ice Queen 6) A hell of a woman Hmmm. I'd better stick with what I got.

I could also add Idiot Jed, Droopy, and one I will always like, courtesy of Angelus: Buffy's White Knight. In fact...that might be the one I go with. No commitments, though. Still waffling.

Nan, thanks for the compliment on the picture. I'm a "science and technology" girl but I'm not too magically inclined. As such, I'd say Fred is the one person I most resemble in the Buffyverse. Though I liked the quote I pulled from her, I'm still looking for a better one. (So, extra thanks for the new Resources/Links thread where you listed the URL to the Buffy Quote DB that I couldn't find earlier! ) However, I chose the picture because I was feeling very "Fred" today. I'm not sure if it was more alone-in-my-room-scribbling-on-the-wall-talking-to-myself or explaining-the-situation-with-stick-figure-cuecards but I was certainly identifying with her today and not my Powerstone Rouge (the cartoon/video game girl I usually have). Rae, I've always loved that quote by Fred -- Ya'll got a chart or something? -- but you're right, it does lose something when taken out of context. If it helps, I have the Angel calendar, and Fred is Miss Novemeber. Her quote that month is, "I don't have a lot of experience in that area. I spent the last five years in a cave." I thought it was also cute.

A couple more where that came from: 1. The Buffinator 2. Duchess Of Buffonia I've always loved number 2.
