Kerrie... are you following the notify link on a notification email about a PM or on an email about the posts on this thread? If it is the latter, can you copy the link from your email and paste it into a message here? That will help me in answering your question or tracking down the problem. I get notifications from a thread and I don't get the login screen when I follow the link. However, the notifications about PMs have an entirely different link that forces the board to bring up the login screen. So, if you are following one of those links, that would explain why you see the screen even if you are actually logged in already. Thanks! Rae I am a banana in pyjamas! I had discovered that previously and forgotten that I have to logon if I go via IMs. (I get both thread and IM notifications.) Thanks, Rae.

Well, hey, my pleasure to help. After all, I love people who solve their own problems! I think it is an overstatement to say that I solved my own problem - you still get credit. You just reminded me that I had solved this connundrum earlier. I wonder how many more times it will confuse me?

Because I'm asking for feedback, I'm reposting this from part 11.
I've posted the part of Chapter 9 that's the sex scene as its own topic on the Main board and I'm asking for comments. The intended rating is R. There are no named personal body parts, basically no explicitly described actions except for some kissing. The questions are:
1. Does it work (whatever work means in this context) 2. As best you can tell, can it still be accurately described by an R rating? If not, what parts (pardon) cross that line?
I'll REALLY appreciate feedback on this before I send it out to the sites carrying the story.
Sorry, Nan; I looked for this chapter but could not find it anywhere.

I would have to agree with Sue's thoughts - that Willow being gay would have made a Spillow pairing seem off, and add that if you consider that Willow went from a serious realtionship with OZ, to becoming involved with Tara - a lover's walk with Spike in there would have probably upset some fans. And, I have always felt that Willow was too timid a personality to be completely comfortable with Spike. This was a very interesting question, and made me think about other characters that could have sparkage with Spike. IMHO Faith/Spike would be VERY interesting - as prompted by someone who mentioned earlier (Patti I think?) that Faith/Spike was a highlight of Dirty Girls. Fike? Spaith? I see Faith and Spike as being too much alike to make an interesting match, at least not for any length of time. I think the similarity in their characters is one reason they immediately seemed to be at ease in conversational mode in the cellar. Of course, Faith respects people/beings who can hold their own against her in a fight...But they're both bad kids trying to reform.

Gail Gail, please see my post #58 on the previous page. Since I'd gotten about 10 responses at that point, I sent the whole chapter off to allaboutspike, where it is now, and Rae kindly deleted that thread again as it was no longer needed. If you want to see it just because it's HOT, it's the end part of chapter 9 of Enemy of My Enemy (again, at allaboutspike.)

I think I have done a bad thing. I have let Caitie watch 'The Prom' and now she is a Bangel shipper! As a Spuffy shipper, this development is alarming to say the least.

I don't know. Maybe there is some sort of military camp with a brainwashing program you could send her to. Its a good idea, but I've done psychology I could develop my own brainwashing programme for her. ;D On the other hand, if it doesn't work I'll have 2 negative outcomes - a Spangel and the knowledge that I suck at developing brain-washing programmes. (I'm being facetious, of course, it probably won't hurt her to go through this little phase.) Just winding up the Bangels. Caitie can do what she likes as can everyone else without me getting all judgee.

You said it first . Personally, I say "Thank God for air conditioning." If I don't drink enough water in this weather, I get humidity headaches. If I do drink enough water, I spend all my time in the w.c. I'll take winter anyday but then, you're more in the snowband than I am - the big storms always seem to go north or south of us so you're entitled to complain. That was one of the things I hated about living in Maryland -- the humidity. I can handle the warm temps, but when the humidity is close to 100%, then it just zaps you of all your energy. Now here' it's June 19th, and I have my heat on here in WA State. My apt was like a freezer when I got home tonite. Had to close all the windows and turn the heat up a bit to take the chill out.

See, I would hate that. Having to turn the heat on in June would just depress me. Give me bare feet, swimming pools and open windows and I am a happy person.

karalee,
It looks like its down to you and me. And I'm off to bed. Sorry.
Postings been a little slower, thank heavens. Looks like I'll never go back and catch up on parts 7-9, but it's been nice to be able to keep up the past few days.
Might even get to read some fanfic.

But I will probably be on later because I am always up late at night with nothing to do, except now I have something to do Goodnight Sue.
