Yes leaving Saturday morning. We have our limo booked to take us to the airport. One of the gals I'm going with is bringing her 8 mm video camera -- can't wait to see those movies ;D The other gal is bring her digital and I'm bringing my camera. It's a real shame we can't take pics of the show we are going to or the strip club . . . oh well. I'll tell you all about it when I return Tuesday nite. Probably won't be on the board tonite as I have to pack. What amazes me in LV, you can walked down the street with drinks etc. I wanna get one of those Yard Long Margaritas from The Luxor. I am strongly considering going to Vegas in November...I haven't been back in over a year and my senses tingle just thinking about it. Three card poker all night long, served free drinks by beautiful women. All you can eat feasts that make your eyes pop out, shortly to be followed by the stomach...ringing bells, flashing lights everywhere. A smoke filled Sports Book where you watch games that would normally mean nothing...but now feel as if your very life depends upon some barefoot kicker from a backwater nation you've never heard of missing a field goal, thereby beating the spread by one point. You prance up to the counter and collect that hundred bucks which provide that magical rush that cannot be properly explained or duplicated to those who have never experienced it. An island of decadent neon and wretched excess in the middle of a yawning ocean of wasted earth, where all bets are ON. Oh yes...I must go soon.

*Thumps head on desk* When is summer vacation over again? My kids are driving me crazy. They fight all the time now. Tabitha has this thing about kicking Jordans door open and then she can't figure out why Jordan is chasing her down the hall. ARGGGH! Hi Lee. I have been trying to catch up on posts but everytime I sit down to do it I have to get up and threaten someone with death. Tab's pictures went fine last night and it was also her last game so yippee skippee on that front. How are things with you (besides conquering your tech problem)? I hear you, Karalee. I used to think my kids had somehow confused the ringing of the telephone with the bell that sounds the next round in a boxing match. And sometimes CHRISTMAS vacation was way too long. (Actually, summers were easier because the kids weren't couped up together in the house.) And hey! Despite numerous death threats, my kids actually turned out fairly normal. Remember - when your husband gets home at the end of the day - if the kids are still alive - you've done your job! ;D Mary

Well, I think that in real life, I would run screaming *snort*, but I am a big, BIG fan of biting in fics. Haven't got a clue why, but I love it! Hello! Vampires! Mary See in real life, I'm not sure I'd run screaming . . . guess it would depend on whether the vamp was Luke or someone like Angel or Spike . . . or some other mysterious debenoir vamp . . . okay who'd been reading too much romance or fan fic (lol) But I'm a huge fan of fiting in fics like you and knowing me the way I do . . . I'd have to try it once as long as I knew he would suck all my out out of my body . . . talk about trusting someone . . . whew boy.

OK, just had to brag! Sorry, but I'm super excited. Okay, first, Anya has now been off all breathing aids since 3 a.m. She's totally going on her own, and while she's breathing fast, it's still okay! So, no tubes in her face! WOO-HOO! Clean pictures tonight. Okay, the other big thing. First, some background for those who don't know. Babies need to learn how to suck, so usually, while in the womb in the 7th or 8th month, they begin learning by sucking their thumbs. Anya, of course, was born so early she never learned this. Further, preemies have a harder time bottle feeding in the beginning because they get too tired. So, either way, they are given a feeding tube. Well, Anya had her first bottle feed this afternoon. She took half her feed (15 cc's) through the bottle! YEAH! She's getting so big. And she's up to 3 lbs. 11 oz., so she's getting closer and closer to that 5 lbs. home mark. I can't wait to see her tonight. Just had to share. James, that is wonderful. At the rate she's going, she's going to be coming home sooner than the doctors foresaw. And the sucking thing, reflex or not, is overrated. Many full-term babies need to learn to get the hang of it, too, as we moms who nursed could tell you. If we even wanted to get into it. Which we don't. Ok, back to work.

I just love Vegas. I'm not a big gambler, I just do the slots. But my girlfriend told me if it's slow then a lot of the dealers will teach you how to play and bet. I love playing Black Jack, but have only played it amongst friens and on the computer. Maybe I'll give it a try in Vegas . . .

I think the "secret ingredient British liqueur" is the main ingredient. Yep, that's all there is to it. Just find a bottle of Pimm's and mix a shot with your favorite beverage of the Sprite, club soda, ginger ale, tonic variety over ice. I'm going to go have one now (maybe it'll make these articles more interesting).

Just reposting this from Part 14 because it was way at the end and I wanted everyone to see it...
Our Technopagan is under the weather. I talked with Vlad briefly last night - he has a fever and chills and was going right to bed.
He asked me to let everyone know to please hold any requests or new submissions until he is feeling better.
thanks! Patti

I've been thinking about this the last couple of days and I hope I word it right so it's understandable. While I love Spike dearly . . . I think in a lot of ways he's like uncooked cookie dough. I mean, he really had no experience in dealing with women as a human, but was rather obsessed with one what was unattainable. Then for over 100 years he's obssessively fixated on Dru, and while he may have been in love with her, I don't think that she was truly capable of loving him back in the way that he deserved or truly needed. Then we know all about his obsessive fixation on Buffy. I see no real healthy history of relationships. I think that what Spike needs to do is to "find" himself, determine who he really is and find the perfect person for him. One that loves him the way he is and isn't gonna try and change him in who she thinks he should bo. In fact I know of the perfect person, who could adore him fangs and all . . . . why me of course ;D Betsy, I agree with what you said 100%. At the first of s7 I was hoping for some big romantic getting back together scenario. But by the end I was thinking that he really needs someone who loves him for who he is. I, as others have already wrote, was glad that he did what he did because it was the right thing to do and not because its what Buffy wanted him to do.

Your kids sound like me and my sister when we were little. What a handful we were. It's almost quitting time so I'm doing alright. Tomorrow is Friday so that's another reason I'm smiling. AND I'm hanging out on the board with you lovely people so everything's gravy. Dunno why I just used that expression. My goodness, I can be such a dork sometimes. How do you people put up with me?

I usually just wanted to Bitch slap Buffy a few times . . .as her actions and attitude would really get on my nerves most of the time. It was painful at time to watch Season 6 and to see Spike being treated the way he was and for him to accept it and just to take what he could get. It just broke my heart. I'd find my self sometimes yelling at the TV for him to open his eyes . . . or for her to see what was right infront of her . .. I just want Spike to learn to like himself, forgive himself and for a while learn to like himself before jumping in to another relationship.

I'm sure you have said before but I don't remember seeing it.

We are having our annual town fair for the next 3 days so I can end every threat with "....or you won't be going tonight" pretty cool, huh?

Better not ever read Journeys then, since that's exactly what I do. I've had traumatic things happen in my family, but they were all of the unintentional variety - fires (yes, plural), tornado, gunshot wound (accidental, but nearly fatal). Deliberate violence has, fortunately, not been a part of my life. I've no idea how I would deal with it, and I hope I never have to find out. Mary It is easy to see the attraction to fic that treats that relationship with more sympathy. Very, very easy. I mean, that wasn't easy stuff to watch in Season 6, and I very much wished Buffy & Spike would treat each other better. It was all so sad, so awful, especially because there seemed to be so much potential underneath the horror of what we saw on the surface. But I know I would have been very disappointed, in another way (which, for me in particular, was more important) if they had treated each other better.
