Well, I hope that none of you had your cat deliver to you a large dead rat in the middle of the night. And no, I saw it before I stepped on it. It was removed from the field of play. Nobody seemed to notice including the rat, which wasn't much in a state to care. How thoughtful, breakfast in bed!
I'm sure you properly expressed your appreciation. Eeewww... My sympathies, and thanks for making me laugh.

I shared Gail's Buffy/Dog Breed list with Daria, here are her comments:
Thank you! I, of course, find this fascinating.
I don't necessarily agree with her, but Xander is spot on, definately a Lab. And Wesley as a border collie works for me. Also Robin Wood as a boxer. And Spike, Spike could be a Wiemeranier... I think she did better with the guys. I think Willow should have been cast as a sheltie!
Thanks, Gail, I think it brightened an otherwise gloomy Monday!

Well, I seem to have brought all discussion to a screeching halt. Sorry about that... Catch you all later, hope you're having a nice Monday!

Anne, posting has been slow in general the last few days. I'm hoping it will pick up this afternoon! *crosses fingers*
So.......how's everyone doing?

Hello fellow S'cubies,
We are at #4 on the BuffyGuide Top Rated list, just behind (I'm talking 2/10 of a point or so) whatever site is #3 (can't remember the name). Thank you.
This ends the BuffyGuide update for July 7, 2003. Check back later for more updates in the near future.
Yep, I'm bored. Really bored.

We've been talking about cable internet, and I think we'll be getting it soon. Sure bites to have to wait for 1-2 minutes for the screen to refresh! I'll miss the apocolypse/Senator storyline on the Dead Zone. I don't think they pursued that enough. It's what really got me watching the show. Are you sure it's gone? Darn! I think there might be too many politically correct producers out there. Last night's epi was pretty good. I have no clue who the bikini -clad girl was. I missed some episodes last year. I thought she was after the sheriff. So much for my attention to detail skills. Patti - I think they rerun on USA and Sci-fi the current episodes of the Dead Zone. I hope they run next 5 new episodes run every week and not skip weeks. I'll be totallly lost trying to find it. Christopher Walken is way cool. I loved his music video- Fat Boy Slim's "Weapon of Choice". Did you know he choreographed his own moves? Storming like crazy today. I think it's my father-in-law's passing that's doing it. When my mother-in-law passed, we had 12 inches of rain the next day. Sandy, thanks for the info on Dead Zone. I'll look in the cable guide and see when it comes on. ON another note, anyone else seeing anything squirrely in this Part? I opened it and wonder if that's why....anyway, most of the posts have no modify and delete options....at least for me. Anyone else see that?

I'm writing and waiting for a check to clear so I can buy groceries. I also was so het up by writing that I had a bad bout of insomnia last night and couldn't get settled and actually asleep much before 5 (this does not include the strange account of the large dead rat in the dining room). So I'm kind of blinking and keyboarding away here without much (and certainly nothing witty) to say at the moment.
You guys all talk. Take no notice of me behind the curtain here.
AFTER: As you can see, I have a modify button, and also a delete button I've had no occasion to use. I actually, and contrary to scurrilous rumours, DO have all of my buttons.

Since I note I hadn't changed the subject line of this post nor acknowledged it I'll do the latter. Now that you mention it I don't have the modify and delete options either. Wonder what's up with that.

Nan , my boy cat Daniel brings me gifts from time to time...I can tell because when I call him inside, he meows with this gutteral sound because his mouth is full! Last week it was a frog. When I wouldn't let him bring it in, he dropped it into his outside water bowl! I thought, 'oh great - a nice little cleanup for me tomorrow' but the next day, the frog was gone, so I guess it was just stunned. So glad...

Ewwww. The worst I ever had my cat bring me was a mouse. Well, that's not the worst cat carnage I ever experienced but it was the most up close and personal. One morning I awoke, sat up and reached out to pet my cat who was curled up asleep at the foot of the bed and much to my dismay cradling a dead mouse between his front paws. Yuk. Dead rats are much nastier. Here's a tip for you. Don't ever try to pick up a dead rat by the tail. My boss made me remove a dead rat at work once that had died half way through the gap under a door. Despite the fact that I was wearing latex gloves I still nearly hurled when I tugged on the tail and the skin just slid off in my hand. I screamed and jumped back and my boss stood behind me laughing. I'm sure he knew that's what would happen. Did I mention he was a sadist? Eeeewww! Thanks for the visual....excuse me while I go hurl....

Anyone else see that? Probably about to show my total lack of techno-knowledge (oh wait! I've already done that!) but do you mean that you can't see the "modify" and "delete" buttons for your posts? I see the "modify" and "delete" buttons for my posts but I don't see them for anyone else's posts. Which I'm assuming is because I am not the author of those posts. So, Patti, do you mean you can't see your "modify" and "delete" buttons? Because if you're talking about not being able to see others' "modify" and "delete" buttons, I can't see them either but I didn't think I was supposed to. And know I'm confused. Long story short - I can see my buttons but I can't see others'. TOLD y'all I'm a computer moron! I hear y'all snickering.

I am sick of only having computer access at work. I tried coming in over the weekend to use the computer and the building was locked from the outside. I have a key to the office but not a key to the building from the outside. I was so bummed. I did get to the board yesterday using my sister's computer but it was so slow it drove me crazy. But then I'm really spoiled at work, we've got a T3(?) connection. I have no idea what that means other than the response time is usually as close to instantaneous as may be and I realize nothing I can get at home will match it.
So, before I go into more debt to buy a computer I was wondering if anyone has any experience with Web TV. I used it at my friends house last Dec while I was visiting her in CA and I hated it. But their TV was mounted from the ceiling and it was really hard to read the print. There were other reasons I hated it too but I can't remember what they were. Maybe something to do with posting but I really don't recall.
If anyone here has had any experience with it can you give me your opinion?
Thanks.

I can't even plead exhaustion. I went to bed at 4am which is like....3-4 hours sooner than 'normal' lately. Then I met Diane for coffee and bagel so I've had caffeine and food and even oxygen (of sorts)....I have to just plead dumb. And by the way, contrary to a recent post of Diane's, I am TALLER than she is. We asked a perfect stranger to tell us. I won, proving I AM 5'2" and SMG's height. Weight similarity to SMG? Not so much. Rather, more.

Eeeewww! Thanks for the visual....excuse me while I go hurl.... Your welcome. Oh, speaking of rats, I once had the care of a darling king vulture. He was imprinted and very sweet. Well, when rats were on the menu (I was working with birds of prey at the time) we used to remove certain bits before serving. I would save up all the tails and hand feed them to Papa Bird, the aforementioned king vulture, as a special nummy treat. He would bob his head up and down, make appreciative grunts and slurp them up from my hand like spaghetti. Sooooo adorable. Oh, I see it's gone on 12:30. Ready for lunch Patti?

I know, I know...hard to believe that's possible. It's possible, believe me, it's possible. So bored at work.....(although I have gotten some research finished)
