Folks, Rae asked me to start Part 18 in her absence and I kept hoping Dave would show up in time to do it, cause I can't lock part 17, but he didn't, so here it is. Part 18. Have at it. And for goodness sake, don't forget to visit The Soulful Spike Society website - the new front page alone is worth the journey! Not to mention the fiction, poetry, articles, profiles...it's a webfest. www.soulfulspike.com.

Everyone's favorite Buffy "calendar" girl, Robia La Morte was born this very day. Happy birthday Robia! Kinda cool sharing a birthday with someone as hot as her!
BTW -- Pt. 17 is hereby locked.

Chapter 17 is done and off. It's posted now at AllAboutSpike (Laura again breaks the land speed record for uploading) and should be posted tomorrow at the other various sites carrying it.

SWEET! This is very cool - I have a move named for me, albeit a not-so-cool move. I don't care though!
Rob, when I read this I got a mental picture that gave me quite the giggles! I can just see her face if you spewed Pepsi all over her.... *giggles*
Fair warning: I didn't get much sleep last night so if (if?!) my posts are a little goofy, that's what I'm blaming - lack of sleep.

We've been talking about cable internet, and I think we'll be getting it soon. Sure bites to have to wait for 1-2 minutes for the screen to refresh! I'll miss the apocolypse/Senator storyline on the Dead Zone. I don't think they pursued that enough. It's what really got me watching the show. Are you sure it's gone? Darn! I think there might be too many politically correct producers out there. Last night's epi was pretty good. I have no clue who the bikini -clad girl was. I missed some episodes last year. I thought she was after the sheriff. So much for my attention to detail skills. Patti - I think they rerun on USA and Sci-fi the current episodes of the Dead Zone. I hope they run next 5 new episodes run every week and not skip weeks. I'll be totallly lost trying to find it. Christopher Walken is way cool. I loved his music video- Fat Boy Slim's "Weapon of Choice". Did you know he choreographed his own moves? Storming like crazy today. I think it's my father-in-law's passing that's doing it. When my mother-in-law passed, we had 12 inches of rain the next day.

Well, I hope that none of you had your cat deliver to you a large dead rat in the middle of the night. And no, I saw it before I stepped on it. It was removed from the field of play. Nobody seemed to notice including the rat, which wasn't much in a state to care.

Nobody seemed to notice including the rat, which wasn't much in a state to care. Ewwww. The worst I ever had my cat bring me was a mouse. Well, that's not the worst cat carnage I ever experienced but it was the most up close and personal. One morning I awoke, sat up and reached out to pet my cat who was curled up asleep at the foot of the bed and much to my dismay cradling a dead mouse between his front paws. Yuk. Dead rats are much nastier. Here's a tip for you. Don't ever try to pick up a dead rat by the tail. My boss made me remove a dead rat at work once that had died half way through the gap under a door. Despite the fact that I was wearing latex gloves I still nearly hurled when I tugged on the tail and the skin just slid off in my hand. I screamed and jumped back and my boss stood behind me laughing. I'm sure he knew that's what would happen. Did I mention he was a sadist?
