ok....to clear up this matter of buttons...I obviously do not have all of MINE - or rather, the ones in my head aren't working....uh....there is no problem with the buttons....uh....I just realized....after ALL THIS TIME...that naturally the modify and delete only show up for one's own posts...... I can't even plead exhaustion. I went to bed at 4am which is like....3-4 hours sooner than 'normal' lately. Then I met Diane for coffee and bagel so I've had caffeine and food and even oxygen (of sorts)....I have to just plead dumb. And by the way, contrary to a recent post of Diane's, I am TALLER than she is. We asked a perfect stranger to tell us. I won, proving I AM 5'2" and SMG's height. Weight similarity to SMG? Not so much. Rather, more. Yes, but you are prettier, and smarter too. I know if you had a job where you got to roll around with naked James on a regular basis, you wouldn't just renew . . . you would insist on a lifetime contract!

Your welcome. Oh, speaking of rats, I once had the care of a darling king vulture. He was imprinted and very sweet. Well, when rats were on the menu (I was working with birds of prey at the time) we used to remove certain bits before serving. I would save up all the tails and hand feed them to Papa Bird, the aforementioned king vulture, as a special nummy treat. He would bob his head up and down, make appreciative grunts and slurp them up from my hand like spaghetti. Sooooo adorable. Oh, I see it's gone on 12:30. Ready for lunch Patti? Ok, I give up my honorary title of First Evil to you, Deborah....gaagggg.....

You can totally ignore my earlier post about this. I just made myself sound even more technologically deficient than I already am. I know, I know...hard to believe that's possible. It's possible, believe me, it's possible. So bored at work.....(although I have gotten some research finished) Lee, I think we are just the same....two intelligent career women with that charming little glitch that sometimes shows up, making us just...adorable. *well, that's the story I'M going with, anyway* ;D

Yep, that's the story I'm going to stick with! We are adorable, aren't we, Patti? That's why everyone loves us so much!

I shared Gail's Buffy/Dog Breed list with Daria, here are her comments:
Thank you! I, of course, find this fascinating.
I don't necessarily agree with her, but Xander is spot on, definately a Lab. And Wesley as a border collie works for me. Also Robin Wood as a boxer. And Spike, Spike could be a Wiemeranier... I think she did better with the guys. I think Willow should have been cast as a sheltie!
Thanks, Gail, I think it brightened an otherwise gloomy Monday! Tell Daria: Much Thanx for the comments! I chose the Welsh Springer breed for Willow because Willow has soft spaniel eyes, an oval face that sometimes looks round, and gives an impression of physical roundness (as opposed to angularity) though not plumpness. A typey Welsh Springer also gives an impression of roundness without being plump or overdone. Also, Welshies can be emotionally needy and a bit insecure. They are very loyal, and also quite bright. I chose the Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) breed for Fred on AtvS because Fred looks a bit more angular, her face is a bit longer than Willow's, her eyes not as round, and, like some Shelties, Fred is somewhat high-stung. Shelties and Welshies have similar temperaments, as do Willow and Fred...I could really envision Fred as a Sheltie, but not Willow. Spike reminds me very much of a Weim. Robin Wood looks a bit like a Boxer (I love the breed, though it's too much dog for me to personally own); and I had a strong vision of Wesley as a Border Collie. Gail

I know if you had a job where you got to roll around with naked James on a regular basis, you wouldn't just renew . . . you would insist on a lifetime contract! Wow! Spring's my buddy! And yes, most definitely smarter. I'd be serving this sugar cookie up to Spike with a smile! Have some more, Spike, there's plenty!

ON another note, anyone else seeing anything squirrely in this Part? I opened it and wonder if that's why....anyway, most of the posts have no modify and delete options....at least for me. Anyone else see that? Well, Patti, I thought I had lost my buttons, but it turned out I wasn't logged in. Duh. Wits missing, buttons all accounted for.

Not so much. Rather, more. Me, also 5'2" (barely), and SMG is WAY too thin anyway! Emily is ¼" taller than me. She's started looming, in a vulture-like manner. I may have to start wearing shoes with heels, Eeeew.

Being too thin really ages a person..a little weight evens out the wrinkles! When are we going to take Kerrie's suggestion and start a AtS Speculation thread?

Having a sore throat, I went to the doctor and complained of this growth I could see at the back and top of my mouth, that seemed swollen and inflamed. I was dismissed with a diagnosis of "discovery of the uvula." Well, who knew? I don't go looking down my throat in mirrors all that often, or looking in mirrors much at all. Kind of vampish in that way. Seeing it is not gonna change it, so I ignore it. And now, for your delectation, a poem (not mine): PS: If you use the "list" code (bottom right of the offered buttons for inserting code), then cut out the provided brackets and asterisks, the lines still cut off where they should--of use, perhaps, to the more frequent poets among us.

Well, I hope that none of you had your cat deliver to you a large dead rat in the middle of the night. And no, I saw it before I stepped on it. It was removed from the field of play. Nobody seemed to notice including the rat, which wasn't much in a state to care. My friend had a siamese cat and a cat door at his house. That cat kept bringing all sorts of vermin into the house, birds, squirrels., etc Thing is, his cat wouldn't kill them first, he'd bring them in ALIVE. Then they would have a heck of a time trying to round up the critters, especially the squirrels. Reminded me of Chevy Chase and Christmas vacation. Don't know why they didn't get rid of the cat door.

Love the poem!
