So, I'm supposed to be at my first French class right now. Why am I not there then you ask? Well, I went to my class, found the room and was basically on time. (All good so far) There was one other guy there when I arrived, we chatted for a while and then began to realize that this was a very small number of people for a class, and there was no teacher. (Strange) We waited and wondered why we didn't get the memo about a change of rooms or times etc. Finally, deciding this has been plenty long enough, we phoned around and the person he ended up talking to says class doesn't start until Oct. 7. OCT 7?? That's two weeks away! That's not even really close. Dumbasses. So here I am, not at French training. I bet you're all thrilled. I was wondering why you were here but I just figured you weren't paying attention to the lesson and was surfing the Web instead. Not that I do anything like that. No sirree, not me.

eg: Chica, don't be discouraged. I hope not getting into the program is not hitting you too hard - do something nice for yourself today. Then tomorrow, start on finding another route to get you where you want to go. My motto: Knock on front doors till your knuckles are bloody, then try the back doors. I promise not to be too discouraged. I'm recommitting myself to sending my stories out, and I think I'm going to go buy myself some music. The professor did recommend I take the Beginning Fiction Writing class, but it's smack in the middle of the day, so it's impossible.

A MUST see. Make sure you watch the whole clip. He is so adorable. The audience is so wild for him and whooping it up like Hollywood Squares has never seen. And see Whoopi Goldberg under James' spell. She is so smitten. A fun clip, for sure. www.impisheyes.com/home.htmlOh he's so cute. All that screaming! Thanks, deb. Put a smile on face during this dull and tedious day. I have been involved in talks with our accountants and auditors and TAX CONSULTANTS yesterday and today. Oh - so painful. So hard to keep my mind from wandering.

My kitchen got a once over, so that's enough work for one day ;D Lee- I kept hearing Homer Simpson in my head saying "chair goes 'round, chair goes 'round" Patti- We will probably get another VCR but it may be a few weeks. I keep getting the urge to watch particular eps but I can't do it Erin- I'm sorry about your class. If I can talk about stupid things such cleaning my house, then you can certainly talk about important things like your schooling.

Okay I'm gonna join the cool people and quote myself. Just went to TV Guide online and looked there and yes, on Sundays, my local WB affiliate is rebroadcasting Angel at 10 pm. It is starting with the 1st episode of Season 3. Now I can pick up where I left off after viewing my Season 2 DVD's. Yea for me. But I do wonder why they stopped doing BUffy Season 6. They have only shown the first 2 episodes of that season. Are they doing this anywhere else? The Fox Affiliate in Chicago is also airing AtS S3 on Sundays at 11:30 pm. So it's S3 on Fox and S1 on TNT. I just have to make sure I don't miss or screw up the recording of In the Dark. That's the only one I really want on tape. The rest would be nice to see if time permits but I won't cry if if miss them. But if I miss In the Dark I will be very unhappy.

I don't wanna be 31. I think I'll be 25 instead

What I find weird is how the stations are starting with S3 and some are even showing S3 on one night and S1 on another night. It just seems strange that they are starting one night in the middle of the series run while starting another night smack at the beginning. Maybe it's just strange to me. Or maybe I'm strange.....

Actually, it looks as if (in Chicago anyway) they're airing City of Angel this Sat at 11:30pm, but that's apparently the one and only Sat night broadcast. Then Sun 9/28 and there after they are showing S3. Go figure.

I meant to post something earlier about this but in all the spinning around in my chair, I forgot. Last night while shopping, I stumbled (yes, literally. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going) across a scooter and immediately thought of you. After I picked myself back up (as well as the scooter), I hopped on it and started telling my mom that I know someone who has a scooter, she drives it all the time, etc. My mom, who has heard me talk about y'all before, said, "Isn't her name Nan?" I didn't realize how much I mention y'all to other people. Anyway, I just thought it was funny. And congratulations on the whistle, you hot little mama you!

Betsy, after you mentioned this I went and looked for my Fox affiliate. Imagine my utter delight when I saw that starting next Monday at 1:00am, our local Fox channel is reairing Angel repeats starting with "Heartthrob" - the first episode of the first season. How excited am I now? I haven't seen most of the thrid season so this has me literally jumping up and down in my seat. Then I noticed that on Sundays at 3:00am, that same channel is airing Angel episodes, starting with "City of..." I'm still just so excited about the Monday airings. I thought I wouldn't be able to see these episodes until sometime in November when they aired on TNT. YIPPEE!!! Just to clarify (I'm sure it was a typo), the first episode of the first season was "City of". "Heartthrob" was the first episode of the third season.

At this risk of getting a "who cares" from everybody, I wanted to say I did not get into the advanced fiction writing class at University of Chicago. I guess I'm not advanced enough. {{{Erin}}} - I'm so sorry you didn't get into the class you wanted. That sucks! Don't be too hard on yourself. I bet the competition was fierce. BTW, my friend and I are getting a boondoggle (?) to Chicago on October 8. As part of a department outing, we have a few hours free during the afternoon. We'll probably be left out at Navy Pier, and then we get to do what we want. Any suggestions to get the most bang for the buck? Then we have to meet up for supper and a hockey game. Sometimes my job doesn't suck that bad. Right now, I'm bored out of my flippersmackin mind. Except for you guys, I'd be nuts. [glow=orange,2,300]Counting down to 10-01.![/glow]
