Just a quick reminder - I also posted in the wee hours of the morning or late last night depending on how you look at it, that I'm off to the Lone Star State today, will be absent from the board for a week or so. Be brave and try to cope with the crushing burden of No Gail; it's not as bad as No Mail, and I'll be thinking of y'all as I munch on ribs, well, more likely healthy boring stuff since my friend who I'm visiting is into healthy foods. (thank the gods, an excuse to get OFF the Atkins diet for a week! hope she has a scale, I lost 6 lbs. and don't want to gain too much of it back; that's 16 lost from when I began) RAKSHA The Travelin' Demon - Yeeeee-Hah!!!Have a WONDERFUL (and not too fattening) trip, Gail! Your weight loss success has been encouraging me to stick to my diet. It's been hard the past two weeks because with the seminars being given here at the office, there's been tons of leftover goodies!

Rae: Thanks for the yummy pictures of JM in the cream colored sweater.
BetsyL: Thanks for the feedback about the AtS characters' in Shadowlass' story. I was surprised you found Angel off too as he's the only one I know best (mostly from Buffy) and he seemed natural to me. But I defer to your more experienced judgement.
I still really like the story.
Nan: When you posted that link in the last part to download video playing software, how do you know which is the right one to download? I know it's a dumb question but I'm computer dense. Where do I look to find out which version is right for my computer?
Thanks.

May I join you, please? I'll be very quiet... The ants have invaded my kitchen this morning, and I need a quiet place to be for a while.
While I'm here:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS BUFFY!!!!!!
Have a good trip, Raksha-Gail!!!!!
I just dropped by the picture thread - thank you, Betsy, I feel a bit better now.

Miss Buffy - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
eg - Congratulations on the course you wanted.
John G - Good to have you back. Hope your wife is better.
Lee H. - By all means, keep telling us what's going on with you and Josh. I was wondering myself but someone else (I forgot who) beat me to it.
Nan - This is a little late, but I think it's wonderful you're going to Las Vegas as a guest. I would go just to hear what everyone has to say, but that's a little far for me, plus I'm planning on Houston in May and S'cubiefest '04.

Nan:
RE: "I'm not so much insomniac as finished. When left to my own devices, I work on writing till about 3-4 in the morning and then turn in and rise about 10. It's a good life, and I appreciate it, even if it's permitted by the fact that I don't have a job. I'll take advantage of it while I can."
Good times! This is the way I live between semesters. RE: the Thrall Room. Thanks! Again: good times: a hot tub AND a thrall room.
And, now it's off to work! no teaching today, just testing.

Last night's attempt at cooking for Josh was.....well, not necessarily a disaster (it really could be considered one but I'm trying to stay positive) but I don't think it could be considered one of my Top 5 dinners. I left work and was rushing home because Josh was going to come over about 6:30pm or so. I had hoped to have the chicken baking and the side dishes cooking - I was aiming to eat a little after 7pm. Guess what time I got home? 6:30pm! Traffic was a flippersmackin' nightmare!! I had called Josh and told him I was running late and asked if he could maybe get there about 7pm. When I got home, I ran into my place and started throwing the meal together. I had just put the chicken in the oven when Josh arrived. We talked while I was chopping vegetables and getting the rest of the meal together. So far, everything was going pretty smoothly (well, besides the whole running late fiasco). Chicken was baking, side dishes were cooking, salad was chilling in the fridge.....things were rocking right along. Now comes the fun part. Josh and I get, um, distracted on the couch for a while when all of a sudden we notice this burning smell. Anyone wanna take a guess what was burning? I'll give you a hint....it rhymes with micken. Oh yeah, that's right - the chicken was freakin' burning! I open the oven door and smoke comes billowing out - the chicken was so burnt! Of course, I get all upset and start saying some not-so-nice things and Josh tries to calm me down. I was so mad because I was trying to make a nice meal for him and I flippersmackin' ruined it! Long story short - we ended up ordering some Chinese and watched some of The Bachelor. Once the smell of buring chicken dissipated, it was a pleasant evening. I know I said I wasn't a wonderful cook but I swear I'm normally not that bad! I told him that come hell or high water, I WILL make him a nice, delicious, not-burnt, dinner. I think we're going to try again next week. If I burn something again, I flippersmackin' quit!

If only there were room inside that sweater for me as well ('cept I fear I'd find Spring and Patti in there too).

That's one of the best pictures I've ever seen of AA. *sigh* She is so lucky to be surrounded by all those gorgeous men on the Angel set.

I agree that it is a good pic of AA. It's taken from one of the cast shots for the new season. I couldn't decide if I wanted her or Gunn (umm, I *want* Gunn but I'm speaking avatar-wise here). I figured it was time to start getting myself geared up for the new season and what better way to do that than picking an avatar from one of the Angel characters.

Lee: Josh sounds like a real sweetheart. I'm so happy for you! Sounds like your evening was right out of a romantic comedy. Rae: Your bottom of the post quote is really good. Wow! I've squished ants and sprayed Simple Green until I can stand no more. I'm running away from home... Maybe when I get back, they'll have given up and gone away. Anyone know where I can rent an anteater?

He may have been more like he was on BUffy, that's why you thought it was on. But from how he is on Angel, I just didn't see it. I thinks he's much different now.

If only there were room inside that sweater for me as well ('cept I fear I'd find Spring and Patti in there too). Well Rae, thank you for posting the Hollywood Square pictures of JM in my favorite sweater of his from that show. I LOVED the way he looked in that sweater but the only reason I didn't single out those pics is that all the screen captures from H.Squares, not just yours but the ones posted previously too, came out slightly blurred. I guess that's just a given with screen captures because it's also true of the ones I've seen from Chance, both on our board as well as on other web sites. BetsyL: Credit where credit's due. Thanks so much for the beautiful pics of beatiful JM in that beautiful cream sweater. That sweater looks like a British army sweater except in cream rather than army green. I love the design. Thanks again.
