Ladies and Gentlemen,
If I might have but a moment of your time, I would like to announce a significant development. Prepare yourselves for a much anticipated read. No, It's not the next Harry Potter nor is it a legal page-turner by Grisham. Better than that, for I am unveiling at this time:
Life Is The Blood by Nan Dibble.
This is her much anticipated third tale set in the Old Blood universe. Rich in Spike goodness, but tempered with Nan's own sensibilities, these tales are sure to please even the most refined reader's palate.
Read Life Is The Blood by Nan Dibble in Fanfictional on the S'cubie Website. Then talk about it in the Fanfictional Forums thread back here on this board. I am sure you'll be in good company.

That wouldn't be bad, but then I want some gratuitious Angel scenes as well. ;D And I want some gratuitous scenes with .... okay, she's gone, so with ....no, she was on the other show .... perhaps....no, she was killed off on the other show. Damn, slim pickins. Okay, yeah, there's Fred, but lets face it, as cute as Amy Acker is, she could go full-frontal in an episode and it wouldn't be as titillating as Lilah's bedroom olympiad with Wesley at the beginning of last season. There's also Harmony, who as attractive as Mercedes McNab is, I think Harmony nekkid would cause too many viewers to not just stop watching AtS but to also block the WB for eternity and even phone their cable companies to have the network removed from their feeds, so too big a risk for the net. There's Eve, sure, but that girl just looks so young I think there are child pornography laws involved. Gwen Raiden would be fun, but we haven't seen her in how long? Same thing for Kate Lockley and Anne Steele. So we have Fred. (Potentailly) Nekkid. They fired Charisma Carpenter just in time for this episode why?

I was VERY suprised by this margin. I figured Lee would have voted at least 5000 times. ;D Guess the JM fans are just more Fanatic. I think I counted for about 4200 of those votes! I think you're right, Nicki - this just proves that JM's fans really are crazy fanatics. ;D

The female S'cubies get to revel in the delicious naked Spike goodness and you and the other male S'cubies are stuck with bupkis. Hey, maybe if they bring Cordy back she'll come back naked! Although, she is in a coma and coma patients aren't usually lying around naked....but hey, you can still hope. ;D Now I must say I don't think even DAVE is that perverted....ewwwww......

Like Charisma has never been nude or at least partially nude on camera before.

[ Don't worry about it, hon. I voted for Angel, too. Nothin' against Blondie, he's cool and all. It's just...me and Angel, we go back, ya know? Where the hell are you people, by the way? I come in after a patrol that was so boring I almost slip back into my coma, thinkin' I could at least kick it in here with you guys. Turns out everybody's in bed. What a buncha old farts. Now I'm gonna have to run over to Sorenson's place and wake his sorry ass up. If he's pissy with y'all for the next couple of days you got nobody to blame but yourselves. Out. Faith, I can see why you voted for Angel. All blondie bear ever did for you was let you sit on his cot, and he once tried to beat you up! But surely, you are not a Bangel? Are you a Fangel? It sounds great, and it even starts with FANG!!

This: www.original-midnight.org/kallysten/ will take you to kallysten's website. (Writer of "Her Sire/His Child" series.) Once there, under "announcements" click on "here" to see a very unique picture of Spike. *********** One of our new members is another fanfic writer: "spikealicious" has a long, long, story at fanfiction.net. Well, a first story: "One Normal Life" followed by a monster sequel, "One Normal Life, Two Extraordinary Lives". The first is set near the end of season 7, the second is return of Spike, post Chosen. Lots and lots of detail. ********** Off-topic: I'd appreciate any good thoughts and prayers for Allison today. She had one of those days on the Hellmouth yesterday which occassionally happen to all of us, but is especially tough for a 16 year old hormone bomb. Then, had to be up early and spend all day taking the PSAT test today (similar to the SAT--"college boards"--but this one is used to qualify to be a "National Merit Scholar"--which both her brother and sister did, so she is stressed out beyond belief--crying when she got in the car--and the other mothers and dads out there know that the hardest thing in the world is to watch your child hurting and not be able to DO anything about it. So, thanks for letting me vent.) Allison will be in my thoughts and prayers today, Sue. I remember those anxious days of wanting to do well on those crappy tests. All kinds of good luck to Allison!

Is everyone gearing up for what looks to be a great episode tomorrow nite? Man, it's been so unbelievable here the last week. We do get rain up here in the PNW, but what we have been getting lately in the last week just about borders on the ridiculous. Last week in about 3 days, we got over 7 inches. Yesterday, Seattle got 5 inches, that's just in one day. We have about 6 counties with rivers expected to go about 12 feet above flood level. Was watching the news last nite, lots of creeks are flooding also and there has been lots of urban and city flooding. Quite a few schools are closed today and quite a few bus services aren't running cuz of flooding. And it is supposed to rain for the rest of the week. Hi and good morning, too! Gosh, Betsy that's sounds horrendous! I hope it's not heading out our way. Your Angel avatar fits perfectly with your weather woes!

Was talking to Rae about this - she reminded me that James takes a lot of time to interface with his fans and has tremendous loyalty because of that, whereas DB has not done the convention thing much. Yeah, I think the lop-sided vote is mostly a reflection of that. James puts a lot of effort into being accessible to fans, doing conventions, expressing appreciation, and the like. So it pays off for him in a competition like that one. That - or maybe those 17,456 votes from me & Patti helped as well (we can work together when we need to).

I'm sure Patti's right that James' convention-going helps. But I also think there's a lot to be said about Spike's flamboyance compared to Angel's broodiness. Spike's more attractive because he's more fun. I don't think dark-and-somber Willow from seasons 6-7 is nearly as sexy as fun Willow from seasons 3-5. And yes, the character isn't the actor, however it can be tough to seperate the two sometimes, to imagine David Boreanaz as much more than broody Angel.

Yep, JM kind of inspires that kind of passion. But I was really surprised at the margin of victory. It was just so neat that they were in the face-off. The BtVS-AtS alumni were very strong going into the late rounds. Eliza Dushku wasn't eliminated until the second-to-last round. Anyone linked to the Jossverse in that voting stayed until the very end. There's a lot of truth to the belief that Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the new Star Trek.
