Having Buffy's help instead of Darla's scorn had to have helped Spike come to terms with the soul faster than Angel did. Plus, Spike had a mission, Angel was just let wander.

Well, I'm from Chicago, so I voted early AND often.
eg: We all knew we could rely on the Chicago S'cubies! ;D

I think the chip helped, too. The chip did a great behavior mod job on Spike, and pretty much helped to set him up for his final humiliation (trying to violate Buffy), which led to his soul-seeking, right?

When I log onto yahoo groups and go to my groups, I can no longer read the messages - they're in some fancy font that only has caps. I can cut and paste them into word to read them, and that works fine. It's a pain, tho.
To me, this suggests that I've deleted some font from my font folder that I should NOT have deleted. Can anyone tell me what font I need to read the yahoo messages, or, perhaps more likely, give me a listing of all the fonts that come preinstalled in Professional Word XP or whatever it's called, so I can figure out which one I dumped and reload it?
Any help would be appreciated.

Let's see: the odds that JM wins are: 5:1 ;D Even *I* am surprised by the margin of victory!! I guess I always kind of thought DB fanbase was probably a little, um, *cough* younger *cough* than JM's overall, and thus more likely to vote in droves in this type of poll. Mary

I don't think Spike was a complete innocent here, nor do I think he was the mastermind of some international deal. I suspect he falls somewhere in the middle, and MIGHT have been looking for a way to get some money for Buffy.
No one, though, will EVER be able to convince me that SPIKE would take on the nickname THE DOCTOR. Not after the tower. Not EVER.

I also can't see Spike littering up the bedroom (cough) he'd been sharing with Buffy with beaucoup little demon eggs. I think he was holding them for someone else - who was going to pay him. I think he was trying to get $$ for Buffy to get her out of the DMP and that dumb hat. thing is, he's not a planner (that whole ADD thing, along with the demon inside)!

I agree, NO way Spike would have called himself the Doctor. I do think he would have given the money to Buffy. He told her he could "get money" to get her out of a job that was killing her.

Someone mentioned back on thread 54, about the Watcher's Council, their watchers, and money. I don't remember exactly what...but...one thing that always bothered me about Buffy's situation and every other slayer, these old men evidently had the bucks to pay themselves but for the slayers who were putting their life on the line and whom the WC wanted to control, left them on their own financially. The slayer's lives seemed to be nothing to them. If one was killed, another one came forward, oh well. All the money problems Buffy had in S6 and I presume 7 could have easily been solved by the WC. I'm glad TFE blew them up.

I'm glad TFE blew them up. One of the Buffy novels--Tales of the Slayer--says that their "sacred" calling was supposed to be enough for the Slayers--bunch o' BS if you ask me. I always thought Buffy should have asked for at least a small stipend when she stood up to the Council and got Giles reinstated with back pay.

I've been trying to catch up but still have all of thread 55 to read. I just finished watching ep 3 of Angel and thought I was prepared. I wasn't. The whole thing has left me uncomfortable. No need to go into all reasons, every angle has been covered.
As much as I like seeing an attractive male body, I hope JM is not being exploited for ratings.
